In Neuvillette's trailer we see those golden threads turn blue under the heel of his cane, and in Columbina's we see her break free from the golden web after embracing that light. Both symbolize them taking hold of their own destiny, breaking free from the shackles of Teyvat's fate

Which is ironic since the fate system seems to have been created by the Dragons and the Moons themselves.

Wait they invented gamba? Nice

I'm pretty sure that Teyvat's fate is controlled by the Stella Fortuna, the stars in the false sky. Which was created by the Heavenly Principles.
OutsideIntropid17642026-01-13 17:36
Originally the fate system was created by the dragons and the moons before being modified by the HP.
It's like, if the concept was brought forth by the Moons and Dragons, the HP built upon it.

What lore are you referencing for this?
ScottamusPrimeTV2026-01-14 02:49
Ineffa's story quest, to scratch the surface.
PeterGyrich2026-01-13 18:26
Fate was created by celestia and controlled via the false sky, nothing to do with the dragons

I like the difference of him using his cane (symbol of power and authority) to suppress them and Bina embraces her destiny and thats what sets her free. Really cool difference and tells us about them.

Just don’t try to do the Currency Wars strat or we’re gonna see our first ever nerf post-release.
caucassius2026-01-13 18:36
yeah they're both aliens to teyvat
NotAFunnyBot2026-01-13 22:50
What?
Neuvillete is a dragon, the original rulers of teyvat. And Columbina is a moon goddess, created by the dragons.
These two are not the aliens in any case.
caucassius2026-01-13 23:19
original teyvat maybe. phanes teyvat? they're the aliens.
FallenAngelII2026-01-13 21:55
The golden threads are all connected to Neuvillettette's hair and Columbina scalped him to create her signature weapon and thus the golden threads followed.
Neospanner2026-01-13 22:27
I don't remember which video, but lore streamer Ashikai had a LOT to say about those golden threads - and the importance of gold and purple in general in Genshin's imagery.
