Dodge = DPS loss. And for close combat melee characters you will be susceptible to damage. It's *way easier* to dodge as Neuvillette than Flins for example. Because you don't have to be at the point blank of enemy attacks.

But it's not worth it. Using Flins with Aino, Sucrose and Shinobu made me not achieve 36 stars. I switched teammates for actually good ones, i.e. Yelan, Lauma and Escoffier and this team cleared Abyss no sweat. Despite not being synergetic at all, lol. Because I didn't have to worry about ridiculous thing as dodging, because when I dodged, I lost my DPS. My Shinobu almost died few times, too, because her mechanic is so damn dumb. Staying as her is wasting time, not staying as her makes her lose more and more health till she is at one hit by any mob.

I know how to dodge. But if you want to clear end game contents, every second you don't do dmg, your DPS is lowered. And on top of that, if you stop doing damage, then you lose your buffs. It's simply a matter of fact, that healer makes the game easier. Not just because it's less evading, but because your damage is higher and it lets you clear the content. I am not meta slave and won't use team that is "good", just because on paper it looks cool, while realistically it's a DPS loss, because of dodging or having to not get your healer killed. Work smarter, not harder.

Dodge is a dps loss for someone like cyno. For flins? Not really. Dodging or not, he will get his 2 mini-bursts, which is absolute majority of his damage. Considering missing a couple normal attacks is laughable.

And no, about neuvilette - absolutely not. For flins you can dodge whenever he wants, while neuvilette is stuck in his charged attack (and if charged attack interrupted - you lose more dps than any other character, since droplets are gone). Whether you are at point blank or not is very rarely matters, unless you are fighting a common hilichurl with a club.

Flins is one of the easiest character to dodge without losing anything on it, and neuvilette is one of the hardest.

That's why i stopped using Aino Sucrose and Shinobu for Flins and swapped them for Lauma Yelan and Escoffier. Not only DPS was *way higher*, I also literally survived. The second team cleared Abyss with 36 star. First one couldn't.
