Your opinion on smooth motion

I just found out a while ago that I am able to use smooth motion on my 40 series card. I haven't tried it yet but I thought I might give it a try for genshin since 60 FPS cap.
In your opinion, how does it perform? How bad is the latency? Is there a drop in image quality or artifacts?

Try it out yourself and see you cam always revert back

I tried it a bit but didn't see anything noticeable for a few minutes of playing. That's why I am interested in latency and possible quality or artifacts. Plus I don't have access to the game until tomorrow, and since new patch, I don't want to spend time testing this setting

it's better to use an fps unlocker to actually get native frames instead of frame generation anyway
