should I pull zibai or neuvillette

I'm asking on behalf of my brother. he doesn't have much 5 stars (he only has Jean, keqing and arle), and has most of the 4 star supports. which 5 star would be better to pull? if intenting on pulling for meta characters/stronger chars

if you want to build Zibai, you gotta pull for Columbina. she'll help with Zibai's Lunar crystalized reactions but without her she'll be considerably weaker. if you have Aino she can be a Columbina replacement but Zibai will be noticeably weaker.

this is similar to the other combos Hoyo's been releasing like Flins and Ineffa, Skirk and Escoffier, Nefer and Lauma. usually the support lasts longer than their DPS since they can be slotted into any teams whereas the DPS will have a hard time clearing content.

Neuvillette can get away with clearing with a bunch of four star supports like Xiangling, Sucrose, Fischl, and Bennett (although circle impact is a bit hard since Neuvi's gonna get knocked around a lot especially without his C1 but he's still a better contender than Zibai right now building wise).

Honestly ive looked for awhile trying to find a Nuevilette clear with all 4 stars in the past few months.

Other characters on the otherhand no dramas

Neuvillette has very flexible team compositions, and you can give him Prototype Amber, a completely F2P weapon as an acceptable substitute.

Zibais baseline ive heard is alot stronger than Nuevilette but keeps you into one specific team. But when they were putting in team comps together her options were flexible

Nuevilette is very flexible though being a hydro character.

Also ive seen the upcoming banner 4 stars its terrible for Nuevilette but perfect for Zibai

Neuvillette for comfort. He’s easy to play, easy to build, doesn’t need a dedicated team like Zibai does. Just make a team with 3 random bozos and he’ll still carry your account throughout the entire story.
