Does nobody ever question how traveller can go across the entire continent so fast
Teleport waypoints aren’t canon so like does nobody in teyvat ever wonder why traveller is constantly going thousands of miles for each event
Paralogism pmo because where in between natlan and nod krai did we have the time to go across all of the continent to mondstadt

And I do not believe there are 1000 of miles involved here. I believe the distances in the game are in meters. The distances are definitely not miles.
The actual walking distance from [Monstadt City to Liyue Harbor](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/1lypmhh/resinless_experiment_distance_from_monstadt_to/) seems to be about 320km.
Starting a dumb post with an even dumber claim is insane
Canon or not canon doesnt matter, you are equating gameplay simplicity to having an actual explanation in the story and the reality is it doesnt matter. Gameplay has never equated lore, or lore equated gameplay, otherwise it would take us months to go from one nation to another and only NASA pcs would be able to handle most events
But even if it wasnt, Waypoints have been brought up in the past that they can be used but not many have been able to. They just exist to be a convenient fast travel spot for the player. Just like bird eye spots in AC games that also work as a way to get the map unlocked
The problem really lies with "canon or not canon" discussions never really hold any ground, its also why most franchises usually refuse to make "official timelines" because the longer they go, or deviate from it, the more confusing it gets
However, OP never tried to use gameplay elements to justify the lore. Quite the opposite, they discarded the possibility purely because they thought they were just gameplay mechanics.
While I don't see the point of OP's rant, I do feel like the writers don't respect our perception of distances. In Natlan, characters crossed over half of the nation in a few hours time. Kachina from the her tribe to Mualani's between mid-morning and lunch. She does the same thing from her tribe to the stadium. How small is Natlan supposed to be?
If it is canon, it is somehow the only explanation possible for everything
And if it isnt canon it is an asspull and it doesnt make sense
>I do feel like the writers don't respect our perception of distances.
Because then players find it dumb that characters can cross dozens to hundreds of real size teyvat KM just to find you wherever you are
So you either respect it, and then event and story are only for a handful of regional characters only. So Nod krai is only for Nod Krai characters, or Dragonspine only features characters from Mondstadt and at most Liyue because of been the closest ones
Or dont, and have more freedom featuring everyone from anywhere, so long as they have an excuse to be there in some shape, having Varesa and Xilonen come to Mondstadt, Yanfei meet Amber, Yaoyao meet Klee and Sayu, Nilou arriving at Natlan after crossing the desert(probably the sea by boat if we are reallistic) or Bennett and Venti coming to Natlan summer resort
BUT! We also have portable waypoints. Unlike an original big versions of it, those are made through alchemy, and allow connect with leylines allowing teleportation. Only for vision-holders though - or for anyone holding similar mastery over elements.
Events are full of characters who get around quickly.
