Question on wishes

With the new character coming out, i see people showing their wishes, whether that is 10 intertwined fates advising thag they are ready to get her.

My question is is there a specific way to use wishes to get certain characters. I assumed that they were always randomised or is it just that there will be a higher chance precentage of getting a certain charater in this upcoming banner.

Sorry if this is a stupid question

If you have around 160-180 fates you can guarantee that you will get a limited character.

At 90 fates you have 50/50 chance to get limited character or standard character. If you got standard then the next 90 will guarantee the limited.

You can read the info under the banner page for specifics but in general, there's a small pool of 5 stars that can be obtained in any banner, along with one featured 5 star per banner. Every 90 pulls, you have a 50% chance of pulling the featured 5 star. If you do not pull them, then within the next 90 pulls, you will 100% pull them. Which means that at the absolute worst luck, you'll be able to guarantee a specific featured 5 star within 180 pulls. This pity also carries over between banners. If you spent 90 pulls on Varesa before her banner ended, and pulled Jean instead, if you were to then spend another 90 pulls on Columbina's banner, you'd 100% get her.

More wishes you have, the higher the chance you get the character you want
