Cause they only made the interface for the event quests are permanent
The livestream clearly showed just the two events they made permanent that you can access: the Summer Event and this year’s Lantern Rite
Do treat this tho as a potential framework to access past events in down the road tho

im hoping we finally get a skip button with this feature added, HSR did the same soon after adding something similar

>wants a skip button
>wants also a replay function.
the math ain't mathin'

im not a quest skipper, infact i read everything including most flavour texts and side quests, i mainly want a skip button because i want to start a 2nd account but dont want to sit through the main quest again
plus theres people who simply dont care about the story and just want to play the game, most of my freinds quite playing because they simply didnt find the story interesting but couldnt skip it either...
theres 0 reason to not have a skip button for a game like this, even visual novels have a skip button, giving agency to the players on how they want to play the game is never a bad thing

Considering that they didn't add the priority quest feature for past missions, I think we'll never see past events in the game again.
