Is this like a top up site thing or did Hoyo genuinely offered 5% discount from direct purchase?

Fyi I never use top up sites because I don’t want to get banned

I am confused because when I logged into hoyolab a notice of this 5% discount thing popped up on my screen immediately. I clicked on it and claimed it but I don’t know or see any info regarding to whether it is a legit hoyo discount or top up site discount that hoyo is promoting.

Appreciate anyone giving me legitimate explanations on this🙏🙏

They use a different currency to get you cheaper rates.

Oh ok but is it official genshin top up like when ur in the game? Or is it a top up site that sponsored hoyolab?

Actually, I was wrong. The majority of them do that.

You're on the official top up center, so I guess HoYo just have a promotion going on.

Using the official top-up website gives you a 5% off discount. You get 5 of these coupons for use on the site only. They're probably doing it to get more people to use the official website if I had to guess.
