yes capture radiant can only occur when you lost
start out at 10% chance to active if you just win the last 5050
and increse if you lost two and three back to back 5050
if you unlucky and lost 3 5050 in a row capture radiant will always happen in the next 5 star so you will never lost 4 time in a row

This might be my 3rd or 4th 5050 lost so makes sense that I get radiant. Now I'm guaranteed, after that I'm sure to get radiant after 2x more lost (since mizu counts as my 1st?)

ah no when you get capture radiant it will counted as you win that 5050 even though technically you lost and it will reset the radiant counter, so now you is at no pity and radiant count 0
sorry if my explanation is a little confusing, capture radiant is very hard to explain it took me like 4 patch to understand it completely

In short with 0 or 1 50/50 loss counter, the chance of Capturing Radiance is 0. With the counter at 2 the chance of getting the featured 5 star is slightly increased to around 55% but the exact numbers aren't known. If the Counter reaches 3, Capturing Radiance is forced meaning 100% chance of getting featured 5 star. Winning 50/50 at 1 CR counter sets it to 0, getting the featured 5 stars in all other cases puts the counter back to 1.

It might be close to guaranteed radiant, I did lose 50-50 on Lauma & Nefer.
If I'm 'destined' to get 2 5 stars in a 10 pull, without radiant the order would've been reversed, 5050 on the next pull instead of a guarantee.

Correct if not for the radiant your first 5* would've been a standard character, and the 2nd would've been guaranteed Columbina. And you would be at 50/50 for next 5*
