Guys is it a good time to return to the game? I need your thoughts and advice.
I've stopped playing genshin back in 4.4 because of burnout from how tedious the game can get from exploration like collecting those chests and oculus. What changed in genshin now and what are some QoL updates did they add in genshin for the past 2 years? I just recently installed the game again just so I can pull Columbina because she's love at first sight for me when that Winter Night's lazzo trailer released a few years back. So I'm wondering if it's worth it to commit to genshin again.

Personally, I've left Genshin just prior to the release of Sumeru. Nowadays, I enjoy Genshin from afar---I watch someone else's playthrough instead, and stay up to date with trailers. I no longer have to worry about dailies, and I can still enjoy the work of art.
I'm actually not sure, but what got me to recently install genshin is because I've heard of the news that Columbina is releasing since she's my favorite fatui and I got lucky today that I got her with low amount of pulls and I'm at 50/50.
But right now I'm not sure if I should commit in playing genshin again. I don't know how I can play and enjoy genshin without feeling the burnout that I did 2 years ago.
Sounds like you end up in the trap of having to complete things, but there's generally nothing making you complete everything right now. Usually temp events are pretty quick and slower content like 100% map completion can be done whenever.
