I tapped out around the point where you >!play as Arlecchino meeting up with Childe!< since it was late and I didn't care if I lost progress, logged in this morning and I started right at that point.

It literally shows you saving the bottom right if the screen every time? I think you need your eyes checked

almost every black loading screen is a save point
also pretty hard to give you a break point to walk around considering what happens in the AQ

When I played the AQ I got the warning at the beginning that it's gonna be long and have to set time aside, did you not get that warning?
And two literally you get like every scene the black screen with "saving..." at the bottom, thats your pause

I got the warning as well. And I understood it was getting saved. 😭 But still there is this fear of redoing it all again. I once got logged out accidentally while battling doctor so had to restart

Any teleportation sound effect or change of location can be safely assumed as save point.

I stopped at Arle's side of cutscene when meeting Childe. I guess you could always stop every loading.
