This was completely different than Firefly. For one, Sandrone is explicitly a puppet, which is already different than Firefly. We also have another puppet that followed the same pattern: Scaramouche/Wanderer.

God I hope not. On one objective hand, it undercuts the whole sacrifice and emtional tension, as well as it would feel like a copout. On the other subjective hand.....I really did not like the whole "Sandrone is our friend" narrative. I don’t think she was the missing character in the line up. I think she is the one right before it because they share similar models (plus the floating little robot next to her). There was also a leak a bit back stating that Sandrone will have her model slightly changed as well. It’s highly likely that when Arlecchino takes the core to the Fontaine Research Institute that they will rebuild Sandrone. Especially because her creator/father figure is Alain who is the founder of the institute. Plus Arlecchino did state that Sandrone had a backup plan in case she was to fail/die from a mission. Aaaaand that’s what happened. It’s safe to say that she’ll be back.

Unfortunately I couldn't avoid the leaks very well so I was well aware that she was going to die somehow, but man I didn't expect how VISCERAL it was going to be. It felt so good getting revenge for her. If Dottore has another segment laying around somewhere, he better hope we never find it, hahaha.
