Whatever makes you think Dottore is gone? There's no a single instance where he claim he is the original or the only segment left.

Well, assuming the original was just human, that version of him should be long dead, given he's been around for hundreds of years at this point.
At the end of Sumeru, the Doctor deleted all other segments and complained that making them takes a great deal of time and resources. It's not unreasonable to think that 2-3 years is not a "great deal of time," so it's not unreasonable to speculate he didn't have enough time to make another segment between then and now.
Of course, I think the door is totally open for another segment to be out there, so we'll just have to wait and see.

What makes you think segments are not human and original Dottore is? A segment just means "part of something" it doesn't give you any idea about their constitution. He could have done any modification that made segments don't age to himself just fine. Ergo because the original Dottore is not a segment himself he might still be around.

I mean, my main point was that the topic of the segments itself is very speculative since we don't have a lot of solid info on the segments (as you mentioned), or the original Zandik himself.
I don't have a horse in this particular race and will be totally fine with whichever direction they take it. All I'm saying is that it shouldn't be surprising for the community to have a few different interpretations on the mechanics and limitations of the segments.

Or maybe the burning irminsul is just a symbolism for the whole plot of Sumeru AQ where Nahida's (Rukha's) wisdom is ended and now it's replaced by Scaramouche by Akademiya funded by Dottore
