Cryo characters wanting (in my opinion) to be the cool character (no pun). Its hard to describe for me....They almost all give me Kaeya vibes and I can´t stand him and his attitude.
1 - Circle Impact feels like a relic, and most enemies / characters are so mobile now, it's just terrible to work around.
2 - The value of his buff is overrated. We have so many high value buffers now, Bennett feels like a niche choice.
3 - His characterization is so ass. His English Voice is so obnoxious, and he has the personality of a toe. His "hard luck" shtick gets exhausting quickly. His quest in Natlan gave him a better outfit and some better lore surrounding him, but he's still uninteresting as a character.
4 - The people who slobber all over themselves to say shit like "The True Pyro Archon" and "Secret 6 Star" are so cringe.
5 - Here's the kicker, *most people know all of this is true, and pretend it isn't*. The reason everyone wants a "5 Star Bennett" is because everyone knows he's ass, but have to gaslight themselves into thinking he's not. It's the same shit people used to do with Xingqiu and Xiangling, who were also part of the "Big 3" but are now dead in the ditch.
I prefer Cyno's type of humour (before they tried too hard with it) among Genshin's comedic relief cast. But I wouldn't say I have it as bad as OP put it, I don't tolerate his screen time but I can engage in conversation rationally if others like him. Although in other franchise I do love the dumb idiot archetype still like Nendou from Saiki or Patrick Star from the 90's hit anime SpongeBob Squarepants.

yea hes a character you love to hate most of the time
hes my favorite but that doesnt mean i suport his way of talking during the durin quest
it will pain be to even mention them
bennet, xiangling, yao yao, lisa, fischiil, mualani, sucros, hu tao is also kinda anyoing so I canonically killed her last lanternride,
wish i could use Dahlia more, but his idle animation is disgusting
there are some other characters I dislike but wont quit the game when i see them
its really annoying to talk to people if i dislike all the "best characters"

Like, they were already grating in Natlan...but in Nod Krai, they take the cake...
The plot will also just randomly pause just so she can have her over the top expression internal monologues...
Also Sandrone...cause I don't like tsunderes...
