This isn’t a game anymore

I’m one hour in on the new archon quest and all I’ve done was walking slowly, collecting energy for 3 seconds, holding down a button to write something and hand over some shit to Sandrone as Pulonia, and making her tea?? What the actual hell.

I feel like I’m watching a movie that makes me do very tiny little annoying things to keep me alert. Heck, not even dialogues in most films are this long.

I can’t be the only one so tired of this.
What do you guys think?

Why not just skip the Archon Quest? Try exploring the new area instead. Wow, it’s like you’re finally actually playing the game again!

Start of quest was good (first ~40 minutes), than ~2 hours of snoozefest and everything after was good.

If I could, I would skip those 2 hours but it is what it is.

you can leave anytime the perspective changes and it will start over from the beginning of the cutscene if you leave

It is a movie with little parts in it to remind you that it's a game. They're far too short to be worth complaining about imo.

Yeah the middle of the AQ is a slogfest. The last part is amazing, but they could've cut two hours out the middle and the whole thing would be better. I miss the old days when the quests were interleaved with more gameplay. Now it's just 5 hours of repetitive boilerplate dialogue. I've learned to just skip the obvious filler by pushing a button and watching something else on a second screen. If they are trying to make the game more immersive with this it definitely isn't working for me. I was pretty annoyed, but then the last part was so good that it made up for the slog before it.

Yeah I'm in agreement with you, where is the gameplay in this game? Even if it was just some generic wave of enemies or a boss to fight, give us SOMETHING to do to make four hours of incredibly slowly paced cutscenes worth our while. I've watched two movies whilst trying to get through this quest, its dreadful.
