Side quest relevance

I’ve been playing for 5 years now and I have 5 years worth of side quests that need to be completed but I can never bring myself to finish any. I ask to those who have done all or most of the side quests in the gam so far. How much of them are relevant to the main story itself and/or provide lore that’s relevant to the story as of now.

I’ve been confused and lost ever since nod Kai was announced and I saw posts of people excited about it and referring to bits of lore that I have never heard before. I’ve always believed that just doing the story quests alone gave enough lore and context to help understand what’s happening next.

I’m in the middle of act 2 of nod Kai and am enjoying it so far but I can’t help but feel like I’ve been missing some backstory. I could also be entirely wrong.

The ones labeled world quests with the blue are big & shouldn’t be skipped 🤷‍♀️

If you’re skipping half the content, obviously you’re confused. Personally, I think you should go back & play them instead of asking for other people to give you the lore

I see, I initially thought world quests mainly changed the world state, like the persistent rain quest on one of Inazuma’s islands.

No. Most of these world quests have important lore that’ll pop up. Inazuma probably has one of the worst laid out quests other than Enkanomiya

You are missing massive parts of lore for NK by skipping Sumeru, Fontaine, & Natlan WQ
