- Genshin had to change models like Jean, Amber, cryo nun allegedly for showing off too muh, but then motherfucking Lauma barely has a panty and her tattas are so big they clip during her own animations.
- Apparently many male idols and makeup or fashion related stuff for men were censored or banned for being too feminine, yet Venti the twink of all time is intact.
- There seems to be some huge Japan ban right now with a singer being cut off in the middle of her concert, but the allegedly changed Japanese region of HSR is still very much recognisable as modern Japan. Like the train station is any JR station, signs included.
There seems to be so many exceptions and nothing burger rules that no one seems to care about. I don't understand when to trust that argument

For the record, the famous scenes people usually like to bring from HI3 "Azure Waters" manhua, like the Bronseele kiss panel or the tears licking, they don't exist anymore in the CN version of it, while they are still available in the official english one, these pages got straight up removed from the CN one (at one point they did remove it from global too, but it went back up, unlike CN), so they did get a censorship on that, and this is the only official one that had this type of pages iirc, after that, every "couple" ingame is just in a state of yeah they are good roommates, never confirmed, even if deep down you know they are, it fall on the subtext of yuri now

For the record, the famous scenes people usually like to bring from HI3 "Azure Waters" manhua, like the Bronseele kiss panel or the tears licking, they don't exist anymore in the CN version of it, while they are still available in the official english one, these pages got straight up removed from the CN one (at one point they did remove it from global too, but it went back up, unlike CN), so they did get a censorship on that, and this is the only official one that had this type of pages iirc, after that, every "couple" ingame is just in a state of yeah they are good roommates, never confirmed, even if deep down you know they are, it fall on the subtext of yuri now

This was specifically because some feminist group complained about Genshin so Hoyo threw them a bone by some random censorship. The Censorship scrutiny also died down around Fontaine a little, which is why the Natlan characters and those after are showing much more skin.

They just had to a last-minute massive change in HSR (also Hoyo), because the next planet had heavy-Japan influence (Edo Star) and the CCP is notably anti-Japanese right now. So the planet and character names all got changed, and a lot of assets hastily redesigned.

What they have taken to instead, is giving the least amount of plausible deniability behind character's emotion. They did that with the Acheron/Black Swan animation, Nefer getting called out for special treatment of Lauma, and Vivian Banshee clearly, but not expressly, having a crush on the main character in ZZZ completely independent of gender. That's just a few examples, but there are several others.
