I REALLY LIKE how Traveler is mostly voiced in the recent Archon Quests. (No Spoilers)

I'm so TIRED just clicking through dialogue options and only hearing one voice in a convo, or having Paimon speak for us. In Act 7 and 8 especially, Traveler has some actual CONVERSATIONS with other characters. I'm hoping this becomes regular. There's no point in the dialogue options anymore, especially when most of it is just 2 lines said in order.

It also frees up Paimon to have her own voice, and makes the Traveler feel like an actual character.

Pressing auto and just vibing through it was great. Also, no over the top explanation and just straight to the point.

Same lol. I always reserve time, and do both of the quests in one go. So, for me, it was like watching a big movie unfold in front of me. The game, auto plays, it teleports for you and even starts the next automatically. It truly was an immersive movie experience

Ahh as someone only on Fontaine I'm so excited to hear more of the traveler in the quests! The quality of the story and archon quest experience has only been going up and I've heard amazing things about Nod Krai from the people who actually care about the story

I mean they should really voice themselves, Traveler is Traveler and we shouldn't get self inserted to them. They have their own name, backstory and personality.

And most of the time, new story quests include PoV of other characters

yes! not only i love Zach’s job, i remember that fake theory that aether didn’t speak because paimon was teaching him how to in teyvat’s language. but now he’s fluent!

I absolutely love it. Actually hearing the Traveler's thoughts and feelings is such a wonderful change to the experience. For the first time I've found myself agreeing with him (I play Aether) and getting hyped over his decisions. He actually feels like someone with his own agenda now instead of a voiceless husk that everyone else speaks for.

It honestly made some of the conversations in the quest MUCH more impactful. It felt so good to finally acknowledge how we've been living and ponder how the Traveler feels about it, all with his own voice to speak for himself.

Playing through the quest, and having >! Lumine held hostage talking to Dottore, was great. My girl was spitting DAGGERS with every word. She was having NONE of what he was putting down !<

I have an account where I chose Lumine as the MC and never saw much reason to play it, because she is only a gender swap and there is not much change, but with the MC being more talkative, I might give it a try only to experience some different voice over.

At one point, the Traveler even has battle banter—not just barks, but situation-specific dialogue. It’s such a good (and seriously overdue) change.

Mihoyo tried to pull a Link (Legend of Zelda) / Cloud (Final Fantasy 7) with the MC and failed... Miserably.

They learned fast that it was not working and started to give the MC some personality. It has certainly been a refreshing experience.
