It's possible that she knows something. She's the one that spoke into the traveller's head after Wanderer erased himself from Irminsul, so she's probably aware of changes like that happening.

Yeah, she confirmed that the vase being broken was because Irminsul changes are purely informational (which is also why Wanderer’s plan failed), but showed no awareness of *what* the change was. So the most likely explanation is that she only knew *a* change happened, and only spoke to the Traveler after they saw the broken vase because that was the only thing she could be *sure* it affected.

Thing is that Scara's deletion was "imperfect". Not only is it impossible for one to fully erase themselves without outside help, but he didn't have anything to "cover" for him. Every event he was part of was hastily painted over with other events and people, which might have introduced discrepancies in history.

Doing a search and replace and swapping all instances of her with Nahida is a relatively trivial operation, you only need to make up an excuse as to why they are the same person (which isn't hard considering no one but us knows how Nahida was born) and boom, it's like she never existed.

Only information directly concerning [REDACTED] was lost, and *she* had admin privileges.
That being said… it is worth noting that all of those signs were purely linguistic, whereas Scara left physical evidence like the vase. So there’s definitely at least a reduction in “footprint” if you do prep work in advance.

Lesser Lord is not a paradox, it’s a translation issue. In fact the whole set of terms relating to Nahida - Rukkhadevata have this issue.
In the original CN, Lesser Lord Kusanali is actually “Little Lucky Grass Monarch” and there is no implication of the existence of a superior.
Greater Lord Rukkhadevata in CN is “Great Benevolent Tree Lord”, again no implication of the existence of an inferior.
Rukkhashava Mushrooms in CN then, makes a lot more sense compared to English, because they are literally called “Rukkhadevata Mushrooms” directly. Because the term Rukkhadevata just means “Great Tree”, the name of the mushrooms is effectively “Mushrooms of the Great Tree”. Thus there is no actual reference to a person here, and it’s perfectly covered up as a linguistic trick.
None of this translates well into EN unfortunately, which is why we got what we did.
