I love Nod-Krai, but can we please get a break from all the cutscenes and dialogue in the Archon Quests?
Narratively speaking, I think Nod-Krai is doing great. It built a really engaging cast of characters, started answering more questions instead of just creating new ones, and has kept the story at a solid level of quality.
BUT spending hours in a quest with barely any breaks is exhausting. I remember that in the latest Archon Quest, at certain points the game actually crashed (and it wasn’t a network issue, my connection was fine), so I had to replay entire dialogue sections and cutscenes.
One of those times was right during the fight against Dottore, before Sandrone died. I had to go through the full dialogue and cutscene again because there was no breathing room between them. And that was just one of several times.
I still feel like the pacing and focus of the Archon Quests could really use some tweaking.

\>The problem isn’t even pacing or engagement

That sounds like a loaded reading of a word to fit your narrative rather than actually reading what it means. Pacing or focus has nothing to do with what you just described.
One of the basics of reading comprehension is that you are supposed to assume that the writer means what they say instead of just throwing a bunch of words they didn't mean to say. The context doesn't evolve chronologically, a sentence you put at the end of a text can retroactively add context to everything that comes before it.
In this case, OP is talking about pacing and focus needing a tweak. They also talk about game not having a break is "exhausting". When your sole problem is having to take a break due a disconnect / irl busywork, you wouldn't use the word ***exhausting***. In context this means that they want to be able to do other things than a continuous playtime of just questing, and instead to something else such as exploring, etc. or just put the game down. This by default means that the quest segment is dragged out and stopped being engaging for the player so that they seek to do other things.
In general, reading comprehensively doesn't involve building a narrative as you go and retconning sentences that doesn't fit that narrative. If OP didn't mean what they said, they can just use the words they mean to say.
