What if… Dottore is the one pulling the strings behind the Fatui?
It makes a lot of sense given what happened during the Song of the Welkin Moon.
He managed to steal three of the moon marrows from underneath the traveler, Arlecchino, Lauma, and Columbina.
He has the desire to become more than a god, so much so that he manages to bring Rerir back from presumably the dead. Who’s to say that Dottore wouldn’t stop at the moon marrows?
And here’s a question that’s been lingering on my mind for years, why would the Tsaritsa, the Cryo archon give up her own Gnosis? She would have no reason to given the fact she’s already a god and with her Gnosis, shes still pretty powerful. So, with Dottore being behind the Fatui the entire time. What if instead of the Tsaritsa giving it to the Fatui, Dottore instead… took the gnosis by force, captured the Tsaritsa (in a similar way to Columbina), and lied to the Fatui about the Tsaritsa giving them the gnosis.

Oh how I chuckled when >!Chalk Chad casually inspected his pad and cracked his code, even standing outside the sphere he was in with Durin after Scara rescued Tabibito, and faced no retaliation from Mr "Godlike Powahs", allowing the team to jog all the way home to the others lol!
