I absolutely loved Wanderer's interactions with Sandy and Arlie.
Murky_Blueberry26172026-01-15 08:54
Would be better if they actually remembered him tho
TetraNeuron2026-01-15 11:15
Arlecchino probably has suspicions since:
* Her own Crimson Moon power literally burns away memories
* There's been an open 6th Harbinger seat for centuries, and lots of Scaramouche's deeds (mainly expeditions in the Abyss) would be mysteriously attributed to other Harbingers who don't remember doing them
LivingASlothsLife2026-01-15 07:43
I love how Arlecchino is always thinking of things from every angle, its such a cool thing about her. She knows hes not telling the truth, she just can't prove it
Sandrone also had her suspicions, she doesn't didn't care enough at the time to go further. Also really love how she was concerned for Hat Guys safety.
Also really like how Hat Guy wanted Travelers opinion on Sandrone before helping her. Shows immense growth from him willing to go that far for a former colleague he didn't necessarily like
Prior-Meal-13872026-01-15 07:50
I'm pretty sure Arlecchino always would reach to its depth when she has her suspicions. Maybe for the safe story progress they aren't making her do so. But we just can't prove it yet
minkymy2026-01-15 08:40
The issue is that there's little to nothing left for her to find. Like, when it comes to information that survived Irminsul wipes, we got a area frozen in time by a god that wasn't opened until after the wipe and a fairy tale.
Affectionate-Bit-9012026-01-15 09:06
That's so true. Like, the only information you can realistically get about Wanderer is that he's wandered around Teyvat for centuries with no particular destination (and that's if you manage to actually get any kind of proof he just didn't pop up a few decades ago at most, because there's nothing written about him), that he's a student at the Akademiya, and that he's got a direct line to Nahida
The actual truth can only be told by literally three people in all of Teyvat and there's no way Arlecchino is getting anything out of Nahida or Wanderer himself unless the truth saves the whole world or something lol
I think she could realistically reach the conclusion that memory shenanigans are involved because if her fire wipe memories, other things in Teyvat can also wipe memories, but the whole Irminsul thing + 6th* Harbinger?? That'd be a leap so vast she'd reach the Frost Moon by herself lol
Nuka-Crapola2026-01-15 09:12
6th Harbinger.
10th just straight up hasn’t existed since before 1.0, as far as we’ve been told.
Affectionate-Bit-9012026-01-15 09:15
Lmao my bad, I think this is the sign to pass out after playing the Archon quest for 9 hours straight
Nuka-Crapola2026-01-15 09:31
Understandable. Both the mistake and the urge to not stop playing. Rest well, soldier.
minkymy2026-01-15 09:41
Y'Know that just implies that Childe is so comparatively weak that they couldn't even give him the tenth slot, they HAD to stick him in the eleventh.
Nuka-Crapola2026-01-15 09:42
I’ve always assumed he started from the bottom and just hasn’t had a “promotion match” or whatever, but… yeah. It’s already the second to last seat, they’re keeping it empty to fuck with him.
minkymy2026-01-15 09:47
Honestly, there's something really funny about seeing Childe run into misfortune. Like I feel bad saying it, but it's true.
Prior-Meal-13872026-01-15 09:27
Now that you mentioned it, i never gave it a thought plus I have most of the wq and story quests pending from Inazuma so I might not be aware but the whole thing about Ei creating wanderer as a puppet doesn't exist anymore?
Affectionate-Bit-9012026-01-15 09:37
That's fair, Inazuma stuff was a good while ago, I don't remember most of it myself
But yeah, any mention of him has been wiped and while the events still happened, other explanations are given. Like, the thing about him leading Kazuha's clan to be killed? After his quest, it's confirmed that a random enemy samurai is the culprit instead of someone with Scaramouche's description. The two researchers at the beginning of his story also now have no memory of ever writing anything about a puppet or strange fellow that existed during the forge disaster in the middle island in Inazuma. Pretty sure neither Ei or Miko remember a prototype puppet being made before the Raiden Shogun. Wanderer before he got into the Akademiya just literally doesn't exist
TheUltraGuy1012026-01-15 11:06
I've said my opinion/theory on another thread before, but I'll say it here again: I think Arlecchino is able to fill the gaps; since the 6th seat is left empty for no apparent reason.
Whatever interaction she had with him before he wiped his own existence from Irminsul also must've been replaced with a random person in her memories; and she may think that it doesn't add up according to that random person's usual personality (like a random kind NPC suddenly acts hostile towards her for no apparent reason)
minkymy2026-01-15 09:39
Actually, I wondered about that too, since he did still exist as a puppet when we met him again.
uswhole2026-01-15 09:47
I mean she also have fire that can burn away people's memories and there one seat "missing" in hamburgers so its not hard to put 2 and 2 together
TheUltraGuy1012026-01-15 11:07
Yep, like it was left empty for no apparent reason for as long as she could remember. All she needs is the confirmation that Irminsul can delete/edit memories.
countrpt2026-01-15 10:57
I mean, from her perspective, he's basically like some random superhero who appears in their hour of need, claiming to be a "student" with the most obvious alias possible, rescues the Traveler from a demigod, helps Sandrone in an almost inconceivable way, and knows all the Fatui Harbingers inside out. Even if it's not suspicion rooted in worry, they've all got to be like "who the heck is this [Hat] guy?!"
The Traveler's own greatest superpower is definitely their ability to gather powerful allies from all corners of the world to their cause.
Notkiller2026-01-15 07:44
That brings up a question: What happened to his spot?
Prior-Meal-13872026-01-15 07:48
I always wonder(that makes me wonderer and no need to call me Cyno lol). I never noticed but I saw some people saying that the 2 fatui near the teleport way point in mondstadt says the 6th spot is empty for years. Gotta verify next time I login
Serpens1362026-01-15 07:58
the dialogue change after you finish next main quests, so maybe you need check it on wiki
hui-huangguifei2026-01-15 09:05
yep, they said that was their dialogue after the sumeru quests.
now they're already talking about natlan.
