Can we PLEASE just stop the spoilers
It hasn’t even been 24 hours and the subreddit is flooded with spoilers. Hell it wasn’t even 4 hours in when the first spoilers started creeping up.
I know we have spoiler tags but the titles are so incredibly vague and you’re bound to hit a spoiler scrolling trough your general feed.
People are excited and want to discuss but not everyone has time to rush the story, can’t we even have a week grace period before we can discuss things?
tl;dr: I got spoilered by accident and I’m salty now

If not Reddit and its countless spoiler titles which has already spouled something for me, then its youtube and its clickbait titles and spoiler thumbnails.
Thats why Im already mid act 8 on the second day, I don't want to give them the chance to spoil me again.
You have my sympathy, since the start of Nod krai spoilers have just been insane.
I wonder how I did it possible.
I'll wait for Friday when i'm done with work for the week, grab some snacks, and enjoy the story at my pace .
For social media, i avoid them for a few days , and for stuff like youtube where the filtering features suck, and i still somewhat use it , be it for music or just later at night to sleep, i just flood it with content unrelated to gachas (right now it's Stardew Valley for example) so the algorythm has less chances of screwing me over.
But also i'm fairly sure a lot of people just "watch" the story from leaks and have to make post about it immediately. HSR has this too, 3.7 was out for like 3 hours and there were already posts about how the story was good/bad.
Like they didn’t even try
Reddit is bad but atleast the mods try and limit new spoilers, but youtube? Absolute shit show.
>youtube is 100% out until you finish
>social media is out
>reddit is out because few understand what a spoiler tag is or how to use it properly
it's rough
And people get pissy when you remind them
Or that a spoiler formatting exists.
Other social media sites don't have iirc.
Post-Natlan finale: [Spoilers] There go our chances of playing as him
The mods think implementing a spoiler tag requirement means everything is hunky dory. There should absolutely be more support for an outright embargo on story related discussions for at least a week.
I took leave yesterday to complete the Archon Quest on release day for the first time ever since starting the game in 1.4 and even now I still don't feel these posts should be allowed.
Because of Dottore fans, we weren't safe even on twitter.
People who dont mask spoilers are bad, story leakers are even worse. Its all about being first, respecting others be damned
A week after with no discussion would never work due to the nature of the internet and people wanting to talk about it after playing. Thats what the spoiler tag is for in theory, its just in practice some people just don't think or have the courtesy of using it. That or posting the spoiler in the title
yes we can, you can get off reddit/ social media for a week and the problem is solved.
Stop trying to force others to change their behaviour, change your own.
Especially the “my prediction” people who just browse leaks then pretend to theorycraft
is not hard to think that everyone here is excited to get to see the Archon quest on their own....then why start posting spoilers about it wth not even 24h of grace period?
You are ruining the fun for everyone else(i myself am yet to start the Archon quest....i need more time to spare).
If you have doubts about something it appears in the quest...wait a week or two so most people could play it and help you solve it.
If you post funny scenes, they re still spoiler, you are just robbing everyone else from having fun finding out that scene b yourselves.
I saw already stuff like ''So, about when dottore does a quadruple kick in the air'' like posts with the spoiler tag and such...but the simple fact of reading the title is a spoiler...
I know sometimes is hard to keep the excitment about something...but please, wait a few days, even if for courtesy or respect of the other people in this community, we have already enough with content creators milking everything and the leaks popping out like if they were landmines.
Those who dont wanna get spoiled should find ways to avoid the sub but at the same time the sub should also be courteous that not everyone completes the content at the same pace as them.
Also if you didn't know there was a ton of save points during the AQ and you'd log back in to Nasha town if you exited the game / alt+f4ed. It definently wasn't conveyed well since all we got was a "Saving..." on the bottom right of some loading screens.
i think i got too mad at having some important moments spoiled and this post seemed a good place to vent the frustration.
of course i dont expect this to be an universal law just because i complained about something that annoyed me, but as you said, this is a discussion forum, and opinions like this about how things are about spoilers have their right to exist.
Like, the story is like 6h long, at least give people a few days. And dont put the spoilers into the title.
Also the pieces of shits spoiling things before the patch by got even released by reading leaks and pretending it was something they figured out themselves is even more annoying. It spoiled on of the main things of this patch.
This is far cry to FF14 community for example where they have an unwritten 1-2 week spoiler embargo (if someone broke it they get jumped).
I've learned alright but that doesn't mean that it's suddenly okay.
And for the love of Teyvat, do not click on vague spoilers because you don't know what they're referencing-- *you're not supposed to know, that's why they're vague!*
My issue is with mains sub. You know which main sub if you did the story. The character I'm waiting for... What? 3 years?
Anyway, yes, people just straightforward post story content in screenshots and titles without even the spoiler tag.
It's easy to get one "Why Raiden killed signora" as title for example without even a warning.
So far this has worked, and I have *never* been spoiler on AQs in Genshin (or their equivalents in Star Rail and ZZZ).
