Would've figured that since Sandrone made the Katherynes she was in charge of the Adventurer's Guild, but given Pantalone is supposedly the one in charge of supplying the rewards maybe it's a group Fatui effort?

The line felt like a fourth wall break tbh
FlameDragoon9332026-01-15 11:15
So I'm not the only one who feels that lol. The line made me think "wait... that's us... scrounging up primos for the next banner character..."
Rare_Marionberry7822026-01-15 12:18
Dottore is offering us admin access to print out C6R5 chars with some codes
alvenestthol2026-01-15 14:24
I'm surprised with all his talk about being Gods and being omnipotent, he never so much as conjured an image of anybody who's actually close to the traveler, or anybody with a vision
Impossible-Bison80552026-01-15 16:56
I wonder if that’s because he doesn’t have Irminsul access to the Traveler. We know Wanderer surprised him. “New Face,” feels odd for him to talk about. There was a good chance he wouldn’t recognize all his allies from seeing them in person. So he has to assume.
Medyanka2026-01-15 12:59
Nothing suggests that he is talking about primos. Adventurers guild deals in mora, not in pretty stones. Same with northland bank that Pantalone owns, or rather "especially so".
Nobody ever mention primogems in genshin, despite them conveniently acquired for every conceivable reason, or without a reason. With the person who grants the reward, or without. Except that one single event mail from klee about "shiny stones", that might as well be a fragile resin, or just retconned.
Even in description primogems are "beyond mundane world". It's either linked only to us as a player, or to the Traveler with his own cosmic laws, different from Teyvat. In both case it seems to be a personal reward for "engagement" with the world.
tl;dr - Dottore is talking about mora and absolutely nothing suggests otherwise, unless you want to milk that specific possibility out of nothing.
FlameDragoon9332026-01-15 16:07
Both I and parent commenter were saying it *felt like* meta commentary, not that it is *actually* breaking the fourth wall.
Kamito8882026-01-15 12:07
I mean im fighting everyday for 60 primogem
Awkward-Treacle-64072026-01-15 22:54
It definitely was a fourth wall break poking fun about the daily grind.
AlterWanabee2026-01-15 08:29
The Katherines were the clerks, but the budget comes from Pantalone.
floricel_1122026-01-15 10:05
And the Katherines are Sandrone's creations. If they stuck with the initial impression of the fatui, you just KNOW she would have used them for surveillance and espionage. Perhaps even as sleeper agents
AlterWanabee2026-01-15 10:06
Perhaps not the latter, but wasn't it all but stated that the Katherines were the reason why the Fatui knew about our actions in every nation?
TetraNeuron2026-01-15 11:42
Signora said she was getting regular reports on the Traveller's progress and power
It's just a guess that this is based on our Adventurer's rank
Neospanner2026-01-15 20:05
It's pretty open that the Guild is Snezhnayan, and it probably doesn't take deep digging to find that they're connected to Sandrone and Pantalone. And yet, even in nations that are now hostile to the Fatui, like Inazuma and Liyue, absolutely no action is taken against the Adventurers' Guild.
My guess is that Sandrone actually DOESN'T engage in any shenanigans using them and has them run legitimately. Maintaining that trust is too important. The guilds likely do send back plenty of useful intelligence without having to engage in espionage or surveillance, simply by keeping tabs on the kinds of commissions the nations are asking for.
It's no more spying than reading the local newspaper would be.
EvenNATER2026-01-15 08:30
i was thinking that he was talking about mora since pantalone controls the banks? like maybe he’s trying to make a statement about being controlled by money?
Agitated_Efficiency12026-01-15 08:32
Nah, the writers def were chuckling when they wrote this one
iamonlyslightlysalty2026-01-15 08:34
it's a reference to Pantalone's control over Northland Bank, which runs all over Teyvat iirc. Even though mora used to be produced in Liyue's Golden House, most of it actually passes through the Northland Bank's fingers at some point or another.
jinxedandcursed2026-01-15 09:03
It makes sense. I always thought the logo for the Adventurer's Guild was similar to the Fatui's logo.
Pitiful_Feedback_7562026-01-15 09:13

floricel_1122026-01-15 10:03
"deconstruction, deconstruction, deconstruction"
SUSredditruser2026-01-15 10:48
That sounds like the fatui funds us everyday we complete commisions.
BigBoss828912026-01-15 16:14
If we run that train of thought then pantalone is one sick fck for putting a bounty *on their own troops* but it is on brand of a fatui to sacrifice their own people if it can delay the traveler just a bit.
Nmerejilla2026-01-15 11:04
Ahh I was gonna post about this
K_o_n_e_k_o2026-01-15 13:59
It could be about more since that bank in liyue is owned by pantalone
llStonesll2026-01-15 15:55
Dottore calling Pantalone friend has me curious. I knew they work close since they have same goal, but man, I want to see them interact at some point.
komandos452026-01-15 17:36
Kinda felt like "Traveler look how much shit you do to be F2P, reject it and become P2P like me"
fancy_snake_2026-01-15 18:17
Unfortunately I will have to fold when pantalone offers me 100k primos to look the other way in snezhnaya 😔 sorry dawg i need those pulls
hako-182026-01-15 18:29
I mean he is the money bag for the fatui
zagreussupportshade2026-01-16 03:23
NGL my sleep deprived brain thought at first he was talking about the credits I was trying to grind in the fortress to complete the quests 😅 iirc that was Pantalone's only success in competing against Mora right?
WanderingWitnesser2026-01-16 18:52
The real surprise is that Dottore considers Pantalone a friend. Wonder how much he knew about Dottore's plan to seize the moons' powers.
In light of this information though, I think the Adventurer's Guild is probably a collaborative project by multiple harbingers all vying for more control over the Guild. Sandrone's Katherynes manage the Guild's affairs, Pantalone funds the operation, Arlecchino helps/influences the Guild's information network, Pulcinella exerts political influence on the main branch in Snezhnaya, etc.
simanunan2026-01-17 15:42
We all thought that Sandrone controls the Adventurers' Guild cause of Katheryne, but she most likely only supplied the robots. Pantalone being the one behind it makes so much more sense tbh.
