LootBar Official Statement: Clarifying the Reddit Scam Allegation
I am not going to let you all forget that one time someone tried to scam [lootbar.gg](http://lootbar.gg) xD. She really got us with that one. Almost made it into the big leagues.
I always suspected lootbar was dodgy, but the way they categorically debunked this with all the receipts actually shows me they're quite legit...

Pro tip- instead of going through a 3rd party site that may or may not be trustworthy, get a VPN.
It’s a good idea to have one regardless. But then you can just change your location and top up wherever the conversion is cheapest for you.
That’s basically what lootbar does anyway. They aren’t giving you a discount out of the kindness of their hearts. If you pay in USD they give you X% off, pay in whatever currency is the cheapest and pocket the difference. So if you “save 10%” that means they save *more* than that via paying with a different currency.
So if YOU do the conversion, YOU can save more yourself and not risk your personal info or run into potential issues with a 3rd party site.

VPNs cost money too. I’ve been using them to make purchases for a while now and haven’t run into any issues.

What about the transaction fees? Can you use any credit card? Also, won't there be any issue with the payment since it appears to be from another location?

I never really believed that persons account of what happened... With how public Lootbar is, and the number of games they service, there should've been way way more anecdotes of people getting scammed if they actually were scamming.
I mean that post is literally the only 1st hand account of lootbar "scamming" lol (at least that I could find, didnt look very hard tbf. But no results on the first page of google is telling enough I think.)

I hadn't read that before, so it was kinda interesting. They absolutely brought the receipts on this one.
