I came back to Genshin after Sumeru's patch for Columbina

So after getting C6 Wanderer on his first run, I stopped playing Genshin because I felt burnout. Mostly it was because college stress got to me, but there were other factors from Genshin that contributed to it such as the insanely long quests (like the Aranara) and exploration didn't feel as fun as I used to feel in the past.

I came back today after hearing Columbina is finally playable and pulled for her right away (with some money dropped lol since I don't have any primos, lost my 50/50 to some random Inazuman anemo girl) since she's the next/last character I was looking forward to ever since that Fatui Harbinger video dropped where she was resting her head on the coffin.

Genshin feels fun again for the most part and I've started progressing through Fontaine's story quests. After taking a break earlier, I got on social medias and my feed was filled with Genshin again, and finally realized that people are saying Columbina is useless without any other Nod-Krai character. Columbina is my first 5* after the Sumeru region but I have all the other 5* from up to Baizhu's run.

I guess long story short after briefly looking into here and there is — what would be a good team for Columbina if I want her to be my main DPS on the team considering I also want to run a lunar-bloom(?) focused team? Columbina is so pretty and elegant that I'd like to see her on screen for the most part. I am also thinking if it's worth it to C6 her 🤔

I'm someone who likes playing with visual aesthetics and meta(?) at the same time so my current team right now is a C6 Wanderer, C6 Faruzan, Yelan & Zhongli.

I also heard that Wanderer aged pretty badly with Genshin's power scaling but he'll forever be my favorite boy so I'll continue to play him regardless.

I am hoping that I can build my 2nd permanent team around Columbina since she's my favorite girl. Thank you in advance for the advice 🙂‍↕️

Do you have funds for Ineffa? Get Ineffa.

Columbina + Ineffa is basically the lunar wheelchair team. Or save your primos and pull for Zibai next patch, she works fine with Columbina.

But for the "meta" meta you need Lauma + Ineffa + Columbina.

I do have funds for Ineffa. Is she mostly an off-field for Columbina? I didn't quite understand the gameplay when I did Columbina's trial and was mostly just amazed by Columbina's aesthetics lol 😭

Does that mean lunar charge works better than lunar bloom? I initially had Columbina + Lauma in my mind at the moment but seeing as I can just also insert Ineffa in that team then I might just have to pull her as well then because why not 🙂‍↕️

If you want a DPS Bina you pretty much required to have Lauma, otherwise it's not that good. Ineffa is just very flexible and you can stick Ineffa + Bina into a lot of different teams.

With that said though, unless you want to clear Stygian on highest difficulty or Abyss F12 whatever, playing for meta doesn't really matter. Any character will work just fine for the story/overworld and easier "meta check" content.

That's good to hear, thanks a lot! I've never really attempted stygian or abyssal moon spire so I guess I'm not going all out, but would still feel nice if I can give DPS Columbina the best team possible regardless 😆

Her best team right now uses both Lauma and Ineffa plus Aino C6 (ideally) or Sucrose.

Lauma is her priority I think because the quills buff lunar bloom damage which you can use as part of a nilou bloom team for example.

I guess I'll just have to wait for Lauma's rerun hopefully soon 💔 My Columbina will be stuck with Ineffa and Aino for the time being. I only have Aino at C1 currently though so I'm not sure how much of a difference that is with C6.

C1 is great thanks to 80 EM share, which on field Columbina appreciates. Her best con is sadly locked at C6 because it gives 35% lunar reactions dmg bonus to the whole team. Hopefully she reruns with Lauma so you can get there, but even at C1 she's still great because she gives Columbina Hydro resonance and lowers her energy requirements.

* I would consider pulling for Ineffa but something about Ineffa's visual gameplay doesn't really fit my taste, and something about Lauma and the bloom reactions fit better for me, plus the fact that people are saying Lauma is a good off-field sub-dps for Columbina (correct me if I'm wrong) so I'm going to wait for her re-run.

Since I do not have any Nod-Krai characters at the moment other than Columbina (and probably some 4* that I don't recognize at the moment), what's a good team set-up for her? I'm thinking Columbina - Nahida - Nilou - Kokomi.
