Lore question

So the three moon sisters (Aria, Canon, and Sonnet) all transferred their moon authority to Columbina right??? When they asked Columbina to bring them back into the real world, which real world timeline are they're talking about, is it in the ancient times where they used to live or our current timeline??? Will they lived as mortal from now on or what???

I'm sorry for bothering, I'm trying to stomach all the lore but this particularly made me wonder

ancient times... remember sonnet's conversation with columbina (as a moon marrow)? and how columbina was perplexed whether she should warn sonnet to not give in to abyss or not?

As a refresher from the first time we met her as the corrupted abyssal moon:

yea but she was talking directly to Columbina then. How did she survive all that time when she was suppose to die not too long after being sent back to Teyvat? Was it bc of the abyss? Did the abyss keep her alive until Traveler purified the marrow?

Yes it was because of the abyss. She was afraid of dying and used its power to stay alive as she said "I could not bear to fade away like that"

Remember how the area was heavily corrupted by the abyss? Or that Aria only briefly managed to escape its control, just to finally get to properly die?

The prison they were in was located in time at the moment when Nibelung imprisoned them. When Columbina let them out of the prison, it was during that time, as well - when the war was in full swing. The Moon Sisters were each on their moons - which meant that for Aria, she died when her moon was shattered. Sonnet WOULD have died, but surrendered to the Abyss to save herself and to hold the shattered pieces of the moon together - something she came to regret later, because Abyssa corruption sucks.

Sonnet, I'm not sure what became of her. Her moon is intact, even though she didn't have the moon's authority anymore. She MIGHT still be alive, or at least have survived for a while after her sisters died. It's possible that she set up whatever mechanisms would one day create Columbina in the distant future.
