Sometimes I think being an f2p is the best.
Maybe I am stingy with money but being f2p feels freedom cause you can literally quit the game and don't feel you have wasted money. You can come back anytime and your efforts is all you have without the financial loss.
Also as f2p you only pull your must haves, your biggest favourites, since u have fewer characters you can fully dedicate building them and using them for time that is wroth the effort.
I seriously think having not more than 3 to 4 characters per year gives quality of life in game way better.
Well this is how I think, its just a personal pov not set in stone.

But the notion that you can only quit the game easly if you ar F2P is quite childish. Not all money you spend in life is an investment. We spend on experiences all the time. Food, theatre tickets etc. Things that don't really leave you with anything real/corporeal after. Genshin is no different. If you spent money on it you already experienced the benefit.
There's tons of games I bought and didn't get even a day's worth of entertainment out of them. I won't force myself to play it just to feel like it was worth the cost, just how I wouldn't force myself to play Genshin just because I spent some money. It's stupid to even consider
People spend money to watch movies. That money is never coming back to them. But if they enjoy watching movies, it's not money that they regret spending.
Folks might regret it if they spend money on a character and then decide they don't like the character. But then, folks might spend money to watch a movie and then find out that the movie sucked.
