If you want someone strong to kill everything on the map then go with Neuvilette. Columbina is a good choice, but you just started and didn't have other characters to create strong team. When I started in Sumeru patch (nearly 3 years ago in April 2023) I pulled Wanderer to have a DPS to kill the enemies on the map and make the exploration more faster. With him I completed all the main story and exploration before Fontaine patch (6 months). Keep in mind that he is a Fontaine character, so to level him up you'll have go to Fontaine to farm his materials. To fight boss you can ask help in coop.

Thanks for the advice! Diluc is not that good at this point so I need a solid DPS. And no worries, I unlocked all statues already up to Nod Krai so it won't be a hassle for ascending HAHA. Can you please suggest for Neuv lineup based on my current characters?

I was in your position a year ago and Neuvillette makes the game so much easier it’s like a cheat code. He is a one man wrecking ball. There is a good chance he has decent 4 stars on his banner that you need too.
Columbina is great but more like a luxury pick. You really need ineffa or lauma to make her shine.

columbina is very good but for her to work in team comps u also need ineffa and since you just started it would be difficult to get mats compared to neuvillette
