as a noellemain day 1, this line hit me like a truck
Il_Dottore_Snezhnaya2026-01-16 12:21
Varka took Asgore's truck this time i guess...
Ironexeption2026-01-15 19:20
Yeah, i felt more from this one line than half the stuff that happened. She deserves a five star version as knight of favonias with her own knight of favonias blessing that buffs all knights like hexsarai thing.

To be fair, Jean is the one that is blocking Noelle's advancement.
BidDaddyLei2026-01-16 01:04
Its been so long so can't remember the reason. Can I have the context as to the reason why?
Grand_Protector_Dark2026-01-16 01:10
The reason is that it's made up..
Jean has an "About Noelle" Voiceline where she expresses that she " fears she is not quite ready for the dangers that lie beyond Mondstadt's walls."
People have falsely interpreted this as "she's blocked on purpose"
natzo2026-01-16 01:55
I misinterpreted the memory from the hangout, not made it up. So its not working herself to death, but being taking advantage off her naivete. She is skilled and strong, but lack life experience to not be taken advantage off like in the Hangout where a scammer tricked her.
"Despite her work ethic, Noelle is relatively stubborn and inexperienced; she states that she is useless in an argument and simply does what she believes is best, regardless of the other party's advice. Likewise, her attempts to meet everyone's needs is double-edged; although most people are genuine, others can take advantage of her generosity. [Jean](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Jean) also considers her to be eligible for the Knights, but refrains from knighting her because she is worried that she is not ready for what lies outside Mondstadt."

>I misinterpreted the memory from the hangout, not made it up
I'm not saying that you made it up, but that it's something thr community has collectively decided to treat as canon claim despite the game not actually confirming such.
> [...] . [Jean](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Jean) also considers her to be eligible for the Knights, but refrains from knighting her because she is worried that she is not ready for what lies outside Mondstadt."
That's Noelle's Personality summary from the Genshin fandom wiki. That extract cites the "About Noelle" Voiceover as source for this interpretation (the same I mentioned)
The wiki is interpreting it wrong.
natzo2026-01-16 01:11
~~If I remember correctly, Jean thinks Noelle would work herself to death trying to please everyone if she were a knight. More than she does now. Which, the community points out, is rather hypocritical from the workaholic.~~
Seems I misremembered. I think it was something in the hangout that confused me. But yeah, its to keep her safe, though she has the skill, not the life experience yet.
kzzzzzzzzzz282026-01-16 01:21
it makes perfect sense that a workaholic doesn't want another workaholic taking work they can do.
It's a work off
bluedragjet2026-01-16 02:40
To prevent death from overworked
Grand_Protector_Dark2026-01-16 01:11
No, she's not.
Noelle's advancement is only blocked by her own shortcomings during the exam.
Disturbing_Cheeto2026-01-16 06:59
Yeah she straight up fails the examination
cyanrealm2026-01-19 09:18
Yeah but I don't think Klee and the lazy bum in the Knight order don't have those shortcomings...and more.
F1T_132026-01-16 06:33
Jean should be fired. The things she fails Noelle for are things that Jean herself struggles with.
leopoldshark2026-01-15 23:42
She deserves a more suitable title like Geo Sovereign
Parylum2026-01-15 23:50
varka returns and immediately knights noelle into a 5 star variant please hoyo
coffeeaddictfromcebu2026-01-16 01:06
The next part of this scene asks what title Durin wanted.
So it makes me wonder who gave Klee and Eula the titles Spark Knight and Spindrift. Jean's title was passed on to her?
San-Kyu2026-01-16 02:16
Tbf it's not that Noelle isn't strong enough or incompetent, it's just she's so naive and lacking in people skills beyond just being "nice" that anyone with a bad bone in their body would be able to take advantage of her.
madnessfuel2026-01-16 03:05
Noelle knighted as soon as Varka gets back
furyofSB2026-01-16 03:12
Noelle is too innocent to face the dangers outside mondstadt.
SentientShamrock2026-01-16 05:15
To be fair, if Varka was in Mondstat he might actually knight Noelle just because. He's been on expedition for months if not years so hard for her to get randomly knighted by him.
xemnonsis2026-01-16 06:03
Alternatively Jeanne has shit taste /s
Edit: wait a minute does Jean even have the authority to add people onto the roster? isn't that why Traveller is only an "honorary" knight despite literally saving Mondstadt from corrupted Dvalin?
Ok-Worldliness-73742026-01-16 20:15
Noelle would overpower him if she finished her exams
