AQ needs a pause button.

The current patch is so freaking long!!!!! The devs need to either learn to break it into smaller parts or give a damn pause button!

PS. Nothing against the story, it was great!

There is a lot of break point, every time you change scene, every time there is that loud teleport scene, and now there is saving message on bottom right too.

For example there is segment where you control Flins in nasha town, you can quit the scene and you can continue from that point.

Yeah the game doesn't make it clear at all that you can quit mid-quest and continue later (may lose some progress though).

You can check if your loading screen has a Saving indicator in it.

I've learnt, anytime you're given control of your character again is a great place to quit for the day. It worked during Nefer's section back in 6.1 and I quit at the start of Act VIII when you get control of Columbina after the first cutscene all I had to re-do was her small dialogue section with herself

To add to other comments, as per old posts here, this AQ now supposedly has a "saving" indicator during certain loading screens.

There was nothing worse than seeing "saving" at the bottom, but as soon as that screen ends, immediately locked into another long scene with long strings of dialogue. Therefore there's always some part that has to be repeated. Please make this make sense.

Presumably, after it goes "saving", you can just force quit with alt F4, or whatever it is you do to end the game at a system level on a phone or console.

Or, wait, is the current generation so clueless that the "press alt F4" prank will work again?

What irritated me the most was that there is no break between the two parts where you can stop and do your dailies. Why make it two parts then?

Pause button is already there as you can pause if you get to points you can move but they're too far and between. The pacing of scenes and instanced story could be better tbh.

One thing that annoys me ever since natlan is you often hear a quest complete noise only for the next cutscene to just play. So the story is too glued together. I like the story too but its difficult to pace myself.

When I stopped yesterday it luckily was right where I left off and the scene resumed immedately upon logging in but it feels a bit weird.
