The planet is a very small (as I said) with a diameter of approximately 25.7 kilometers. Based on this measurement, the radius of the planet is 12.85 kilometers. If you were to travel around its equator, you would cover a total circumference of 80.74 kilometers. The total surface area of the planet is approximately 2,075.25 square kilometers, which is roughly comparable in size to a large metropolitan area or a small island nation. In terms of its three-dimensional space, Teyvat has a total volume of 8,895.30 cubic kilometers. So it has the same size as Phobos, one of Mars Moons, which is so small that its gravity wasn’t able to form a sphere!
Calculated that by standing in Mondstadt and starting a quest in Fontaine (6km away).
Calculation:
Regarding gravity: If Teyvat had the same density as Earth, the surface gravity would be extremely low (approx. 0.02 m/s^(2).) This is only about 0.2% of Earth's gravity. On this planet, a person could jump over 200 meters high, and the escape velocity would be so low (about 60 km/h) that a fast cyclist could theoretically ride into space.
To match Earth's gravity at such a small size, the planet's density would need to be about 2,700,000 kg/m^3.
For comparison, the average density of Earth is only about 5,515 kg/m^3.
This means Privateywet would have to be nearly 500 times denser than Earth.
What would the core need to be made of?
There is no natural element or metal (like Iron or Gold) that is dense enough. Even Osmium, the densest naturally occurring element on Earth, only has a density of about 22,590 kg/m^3.
To reach the required mass, the core of Privateywet would need to consist of "Degenerate Matter," similar to what is found in the heart of a White Dwarf star. Essentially, the atoms would have to be crushed together so tightly that the planet would be more like a tiny star-remnant than a rocky planet. If it were made of normal rock or metal, you would simply float away with a single step.
The formula used is g = G * M / r^2. To keep "g" at 9.81 while "r" is very small, the mass "M" must be concentrated into a tiny space, resulting in extreme density.
What was Niebelung made of??

The distances in game are scaled down. This is obvious from the fact Xiangling needs 3 days of provisions to go from Liyue Harbor to the Stone Gate/Stormterror's Lair area.
So if we assume she walked for around 12 hours a day, slept for 8 and rested for 4-5 in total. That would make the distance from Liyue Harbor to Stone Gate around 216km.
Considering that journey in game is around 2km, we can assume that the in-game distance is at least 1/100 of the lore size.

Even If the planet Teyvat was scaled down by a factor of 100. Here are the corrected values for the full-scale planet:
Physical Dimensions:
Diameter: 2,570 km (100 * 25.7 km)
Radius: 1,285 km
Circumference: 8,074 km
Surface Area: 20,752,500 square km (10,000 times larger than the small version)
Volume: 8,895,300,000 cubic km (1,000,000 times larger than the small version)
Comparison:
At this scale, Teyvat is no longer a small asteroid. With a diameter of 2,570 km, it is now significantly larger than Pluto (2,376 km) and about 75% the size of our Moon (3,474 km). It would be classified as a large Moon or a Dwarf Planet.
Thats still way to small, since its gravity is never enough to contain an atmosphere. To have exactly Earth's gravity (9.81 m/s^2) at this size, it would still need to be about 5 times denser than Earth, which would require a core made of extremely heavy metals like pure Gold or Platinum throughout the entire body.

Monstadt City is where the light is, just in case you didn't know. Not where you have it, though. It's the light on top (the bottom one is Liyue Harbour)

its been common consensus for a while that the in game map is scaled down many times compared to what it would actually be

"Teyvat has its own laws" and with everything we know about it so far, I'd say that our real world physics are entirely useless to figure out what is and isn't possible in Genshin.
Also, open world games have almost always taken a lot of liberty with distances and scaled down their worlds because realistic scale just doesn't work out very well.
We just have to practice a little suspension of disbelief and imagine everything is further and bigger than shown. I mean, you can walk all across the whole country of Skyrim in 30 min which would make it way smaller than the moderately sized city I live in.

Teyvat's gravity is stronger than Earth's. It's a pretty common gameplay tweak in video games. If you make it like Earth's, jumps will feel floaty.

Teyvat has its own "laws"
Darkfire13782026-01-15 20:11
Obligatory, Teyvat has it's own laws.
Real Impressed theres ppl like you in this community with the Math Brain going on.
Can't say I understood it, but Thumbs up, I like seeing these every now and then.

There is a lot of assumptions here. Like Teyvat's physics is anywhere near Earths'. Not only we don't know what axioms dictates the physics of Teyvat, we know that it can change too (recent Sucrose quest implies it). Also there is alchemy, all kinds of elements, particles and whatnots in play. But most importantly, it is a game, and as such, it has to have some creative liberty.
