Nod Krai AQ plot is heavily inspired by Star Rail Amphoreus

The parallels between Columbina & Cyrene travelling backward through time to become the invisible helper for the protagonist, and between Dottore & Zandar One Kuwabara being mad scientists trying to be God / kill God are clear proof that Genshin’s storywriter incorporates a lot of HSR/shaoji’s script.

That being said, both are masterfully executed & delivered super engaging story across several patches. Kudos to the Hoyo team for amazing work this year 👏

storytelling wise i find genshin is almost always better than hsr just cos hsr adds far too much verbose and repetitive shit

It feels like Genshin is better balanced when it comes to verbose language. There are many characters that like to use flowery language, but they don't go on as long as HSR's characters.

Heck, Nicole, a character practically built on constantly talking and telling stories, is still significantly easier to understand than someone like Cyrene or any of the others.

Funny, now I see the resemblance but Amphoreus wasn't my first thought. LOL

When I heard Columbina's whole story of going to the past and using a method of discarding her body (in a sense) to get back to the future reminded of me of Zelda of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Similar ideas used by many I suppose. :D

But HSR steals from plenty of Sci Fi, calling it original in anything is a stretch

I didn’t really enjoy Amphoreus, but I really enjoyed this AQ. I don’t think it’s inspired by Amphoreus—these elements are very common in fiction. I generally don’t like Shaoji’s overly verbose and unnecessarily convoluted writing.

I was mostly thinking about Harry Potter when the instances of time travel started happening. Time travel can be very hit or miss, but both this AQ and HP did it well, in my opinion.

They share elements bur personally I think genshin better executes it.

Main reason is that nod krai isn't a brand new location like Amp was at least lore wise.

From start to finish nod krai was essentially a part or sequel for many other charscter stories, either building greatly on what had been established since way back version 1.

Varka, Alice and the witches, durin, wanderer, the fatui, dottore, the sinners and moons have all been parts of the lore since before.

It doesn't need to waste time building up much for it's new nation, it just has to start running.

Like by all accounts the amount of 'new' characters is very small.

Aino, jahoda, ineffa, nefer, lauma and flin and Rerir are the only new character we get for nod krai while every one else is prestablished in story.

One more resemblance:

Dottore had multiple copies/duplicates of himself called Segments, which mostly was deleted when Dottore made a deal with Nahida to get her Gnosis.

The Lygus trailblazer fight in Amphoreus is also one of several Zandar One Kuwabara copies
