Archon quest was very good, but made me sad

Eh, at least folks now know that they are there. It's no longer a mystery as to what happened to them. It may take someone at the same level of power as Niebelung to get them out, but there are entities with that kind of power out there.

Yeah, lol forgot about them. Not only were their ending tragic and also their lives after death is also tragic. Would have make sense to give them a happy ending at that point.

A recurring theme in Genshin is about mortal failure. Mostly comes up in world quests, with characters like Zhiqiong, but there's also guys like Vacher, who try very very hard to achieve something, but they're just mortals, and they can't break the rules of the world no matter what they try

They're all punished for trying too hard. They hurt people, sometimes themselves, sometimes others, and at the end, the most they can do is send a message forward. It's meant to be tragic.

Plus: rerir was kaenri'ah gestapo! He murdered a lot of children, even he recognizes he doesn't deserve a happy ending when he talks to Columbina.
