Is it me, or is the Nod-Kai cast….flirtier with each other than previous nations?

“Flirtier” was not the first word that came to mind tbh.

And yes, I’m excluding Beidou/Ningguang. I recognize their place in the flirt canon.

Edit: Lauma and Nefer are the strongest with each other, they keep making me giggle and wonder if I should give them time to talk.

I think i know what you mean, I think the dialogue has improved a lot when it comes to characters simply talking to each other. They feel more real and organic

I think the writers arent afraid of or are more willing to have characters saying nice things to each other or teasing each other. The recent >!Varka and Nicole!< convo comes to mind

Not like they didnt do it before, it just feels more well done and natural in Nod Krai imo. The dialogue of casual conversation flows really well

Most of the characters are very sexy not just in their attire but in their confidence, kindness, personality. They also seem a little more comfortable with closeness. So I can see where you are getting that from. When I think of flirts I def think of characters like Lisa lol.

Yeah that’s true, she just seems aggressively horny with everyone. While the Nod-Kai cast seem to have specific strong bonds with one or two other characters. Even >! Flins and Illuga !< had some intense moments.

Nah I feel it and I like it. Feels more casual and natural, less stiff. Flins is often subtly trolling people while outwardly complimenting them, for example.

Video game dialogue often feels wooden to me. Thank God Genshin is being quite lively and playful with some of the character interactions.

My guess is almost all characters has its own faction and independent on their own, so coming into a group avengers style makes their banter less formal and amusing to one another and they dont follow a specific social norm in nodkrai unlike the academia and fountain court so they more hostile at first but eventually trust each other in times of crises of columbina, this makes columbina also more close to nodkrai cast

Lauma is really amusing in this case. She plays dumb with Nefer and play with her all the time, and it's fun because Nefer likes her but doesn't accept much all that, so it feels really alive.

But overall, they just feel more human.

Varka offering a hug to Jahoda and she saying she doesn't need a daddy for example was a simple yet alive interaction, that really shows Varka intention to be the big brother everyone can count on, and reflects how he was able to rescue and bring to society people like Razor and Rosaria.

It honestly depends a lot of localization, to be honest.

I didn't see anything excessively "flirt" in Nodkrai because I play in JP. I actually didn't see anything flirt ever since Sumeru, when I stopped playing this game in English.

I think translators and voice actors push an "agenda" in games. This has been seen in animes, where some dialogues are completely changed for no reason at all. A lot of the "shipping" I see in this sub simply doesn't exist in JP/CN versions of the game.
