Thoughts on Soundtrack Tracks That Summarized Regions?

Hey all!

I'm still a new Redditor and new to this community, but I wanted to ask a quick question:

*Which soundtrack pieces/compositions do you think best complement each region?*

What I mean by this is, which songs from the soundtrack make you instantly mentally flash over to a location, or a character encounter, etc? I'm always curious to see which musical pieces resonante most strongly with folks.

For example, my wife is from China (HK to be precise, so she doesn't speak Mandarin), so I already love Chinese folk music, and "Devastation and Redemption" just hits me in the feels, everytime. It just screams "Liyue and its people" to me.

Thoughts?

Probably Russian Czar for Snezhnaya?

Oh, I meant Genshin's soundtrack! Unless that's the title of one of the new tracks I haven't heard yet! >.< Also, I hadn't thought about using current tracks to imagine regions or places we haven't been, that's a thought too!

For riddles, for wonders IS sumeru

Genshin_DeepDive2026-01-16 00:30

Listening now! Will edit to let you know what I think. :)

Followup: Definitely agree that this is a succinct summary of Sumeru (say that five times fast).

Nerd thoughts:

I love how the zither is genuinely the most Sumerian instrument I can think of besides the desert's Arabic hand drums. Other awesome Sumeru soundtrack tropes are in this song too, such as legato bent strings and sweeping wind arpeggios, especially from pan or short flutes.

\+1 Great choice! :D

La Vaguelette for Fontaine. (Tandem au cœur de fontaine for Neuvillette's POV)

Journey of Hope for Mondstadt

Where the Shiragasi Dances for Inazuma

Ode of Resurrection for Natlan

Love these! I love that you chose La Vaguelette for Fontaine as opposed to "Tout est bien qui finit bien", which I know many people tie >!to the Focalors sacrifice sequence, and thus Furina's liberation.!<

Well... the track is literally just called "Sumeru". Sumeru's soundtrack is full of bangers, but this song encompasses everything I feel when I think about the region.

I'd probably also mention Thunderings of the Merciless for Inazuma. I'm not particularly fond of the region, but this song has burned itself into my mind.

I don't think I have any strong picks for the other regions.
