Snezhnaya is north of Fontaine. The other side of Teyvat is completely empty and called the Dark Sea.

it's not empty. The Dark Sea is an umbrella term used for the various mostly unknown regions outside of Teyvat. The term is a misnomer, as it is understood to include landmasses.
In short, the Dark Sea is the rest of the world beyond the continent of Teyvat, which exists outside the dominion of the Seven.
It's also not corrupted by the Abyss. The Abyss exists beyond the firmament, and it seeps inside for various reasons. There is no Abyss in Teyvat, all of the Abyss is of extraterrestrial nature.

I kind of assumed that the false sky encompasses the entire sky and is translucent on one side only. So from the outside looking in, it doesn’t appear like there is one at all.
Kind of like of Zenless Zone Zero-esque domes Dottore erects during the course of the quest. Completely opaque looking in, everything is visible looking out.

That flat Teyvat theory didn't came out of nowhere. It's how people tried to adapt the idea that there is a fake sky. People thought there was a dome covering all of Teyvat, because back then, nobody knew it was an "egg shell".
