What's worse is you could see it was hitting hard while Columbina was saying goodbye and Columbina, knowing her fate, knew she couldn't say anything or she could possibly change the future. Heartbreaking all around.
TheWitcherMigs2026-01-16 09:40
Columbina knew that she could *not* change the future. Everything she did inside the Moon's Reflection already happened to the end of result of her inside the Moon's Reflection, it was a perfect loop
She was wary because of that in fact
Saiyeh2026-01-16 10:03
Hm yes and no. That's probably the intended message from the writers yes, but at the same time this is a pardox.
We classify time travel paradoxes in fiction by the events and outcomes of said time travel. Columbina was in a loop pardox until that moment from our perception, but that doesn't mean that it was guaranteed to end that way.
We could end in a causality type paradox where Columbina does in fact warn her, only for her to realize that she could extend her life by drawing in abyssal power not fully seeing the consequences and thus fulfilling the requirements anyways. Similar outcomes, different reasons.
Or it could split entirely forcing her into a different timeline completely destroying her attempts and removing her from the loop. (Obviously not going to happen from a writing perspective)
It's also hard to say that Columbina was only working off the assumption that she could not change the future only fulfill it. In that situation would your mind not think of all the possibilities that could maybe happen if your assumption is wrong, especially in such a high stakes situation? Would you really risk this being the one change that could ruin everything? Or would you let it play out staying with the comforting assumption that things can only ever be as they were already experienced? I think this is also a valid interpretation of the moment.

there's a reason why bina could only stare on helplessly as the anxiety in sonnet blossomed. bina is in a bootstrap paradox and just like the key in dirediyeth quest sonnet would still have been shattered and been corrupted by the abyss to turn into the tortured sun of the crimson moon dynasty. at least in her final moments she got to see her little sister one last time.
erae112026-01-16 05:48
so that was the context behind that scene? what really happened given the context in 6.3 too? i maximize my time completing quests because of uni. so i tend to skip over story elements.
simply-jun2026-01-16 07:18
Sonnet, the Iridescent Moon, the Crimson Moon, had her remains tainted with the abyss.
When Columbina met the trio, she couldn’t lie about the moons being already dead in the present. This (understandably) caused Sonnet, the youngest of the three, to be more than nervous.
Columbina knew that Sonnet would be involved with the abyss, intentionally or not, and had thought about warning her. However, no matter what Columbina says, it wouldn’t change the fact that Sonnet will eventually die.
It would also be presumptous of Columbina to warn Sonnet about not falling to the abyss since unlike her, Columbina still had a chance to live.
I could only assume that Columbina didn’t mention the abyss so that Sonnet would only be worried about her eventual death, instead of her eventual corruption, in her final moments with Canon and Aria.
rW0HgFyxoJhYka2026-01-16 10:04
This is always the stupid paradox question of should you warn someone of the future or not.
The answer however has always been to warn someone of the future because fiction always writes its away around it to ignore any other outcome.
However nobody said you can't fix dead moons and corrupted moons. The whole theme of this game is to remove the abyss and remove the gods. Only then will mankind believe in itself.
simply-jun2026-01-16 11:02
> stupid paradox question of should you warn someone about the future or not.
This was not why Columbina didn’t tell Sonnet about the abyss.
Columbina does not know exactly how Sonnet gets tainted by the abyss. We don’t know much of the abyss other than it feeding and amplifying negative emotions. Telling Sonnet that she should avoid being corrupted by the abyss would just make her more stressed.
The thought of her, an immortal, dying managed to shake her enough that she got tainted by the abyss, as seen in OP’s screenshot. What more would informing her that she would be corrupted by the abyss for over 6000 years? That would ruin her final conscious moments with her sisters.
Columbina didn’t think about whether warning Sonnet would change history; she didn’t even think about how returning the trio to Teyvat would affect history. What she thought regarding Sonnet before they parted was:
(i wish I could tell her not to give in to the Abyss, not to be afraid… But is this really what I should say at this moment?)
Instead of talking about the abyss, she said she was glad of Sonnet being her older sister.
This was a ‘show, don’t tell’ moment of Columbina’s character development. She chose to have their parting be happy, to end it in a positive note. To give Sonnet one more happy memory is the only thing she could do, really, considering what she knew of Sonnet’s personality and future.
As for your third paragraph, MC had not, and never had, travelled around Teyvat for the goal of removing the abyss nor to remove the gods. Removing the abyss had just been incidental to MC’s goals, and not once had they entered a region with the intent of removing the archon’s godhood or anything similar. Unless there was a moment when they said “I must go to this place to remove the abyss and for no other purpose!” that I have forgotten about.
Curiousity10242026-01-16 10:40
The one who will change that outcome is the Traveler . Columbina is not a 'Variable' in her( Sonnet ) fate .
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 08:46
I don't think anything would change even if she warned her tbh
taleofwu2026-01-16 10:16
The common ironic trope would've been then that precisely because Sonnet was warned, that she will be corrupted
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 10:36
It would usually be that if Sonnett was warned, she'd be aware of the existence of the Abyss and the possibility of absorbing it.
If she wasn't warned, she'd be tricked by the abyss into absorbing it.
It's a lose-lose situation no matter what.
MartenBroadcloak192026-01-16 16:16
It seems that time in Teyvat is self-correcting. Just like with changes to Irminsul, the outcomes stay the same but the justifications would be changed.
fourrier012026-01-17 13:17
Nicole kinda told this the first time she gave her voice
> Like a vase that falls to the ground. Whether it is broken by a cat or by a bird, the result is still a broken vase, is it not?
Dobrowian2026-01-17 15:09
Wait a minute... in AQ Columbina who is metaphorically a **bird** (dove) **broke** the **vase** by accident and then when Flins and Lauma come in there is sitting **cat** out of nowhere.
The whole thing was how Columbina realized she can influence the "past" but she can not go overboard... because when she influenced a card/traveler there was nothing to replace that kuvakhi pulse meaning the world realized she was there and brought her back to moon prison.
OH MY GOD THE FORESHADOWING.
fourrier012026-01-17 16:16
Probably coincidence... but probably not, but the context on that conversation was that
> the fate of Teyvat cannot easily be changed
And then the definition of descender is
> individuals who are capable of transcending Teyvat's "laws" and influencing its fate.
The existence of 2 ending screen on Act 8 was quite unsettling. It may points that whatever we see may just be some sort of fake out.

The only Moon Marrow to ever speak was hers... I don't think she had her sisters for long..
nicaditto2026-01-16 07:26
This could also mean, she got separated last, thus only making her anxiety grew and fallen into the abyss's temptation.

Canon should be last, since her moon was still intact. So at least she had one of her sisters
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 08:49
Canon's moon was intact, yes, but she's dead. Sonnett's Moon was shattered and due to abyssal corruption, was reformed and transported to a different dimension, artifically being kept alive.

TetraNeuron2026-01-16 06:08
> revealed he’s still alive or gets revived by the abyss
I saw a really great theory that the "Power That Could Rival the World" that the 5 Sinners found was actually Nibelung's corpse.
It would explain why there was such a huge amount of Abyss power in the first place, and why the Sinner's powers are mirrors of Life/Death/Reason/Space/Time, because Nibelung was the original creators of the Moons that held those powers
Particular_Web32152026-01-16 06:21
if elynas a relatively minor abyssal dragon has his heart still beating, like other dragons like durin and bakunawa, surely abyssal nibelung would be a huge repository of abyssal power. if said abyssal power was enough to injure phanes, imagine if it was split between the 5 sinners. that could explain the sheer scale of cataclysm.
RunImmediate60622026-01-16 16:45
My crackpot theory is that the voice that tempted The Five Sinners to fall IS Nibelung.
biding his time, weakening Teyvat for his next, presumably last assault against HP.
I've got nothing go on for this one, but i also think The Abyss are corrupting The Tsaritsa. Her rebellion against the heavens directly opens an opportunity for The Abyss to consume and end Teyvat too, like it's done with many other worlds in the bubble universe Genshin is set in.

slp00012026-01-16 05:09
Sure, she gave her authority away, but they're ultimately still gods, and the game has shown us a couple times before that both the bodies and souls of gods can have profound effects on the world even after they're dead (Orobashi and Rukkhadevata, for example).
We_Are_Bread2026-01-16 05:15
Also how Egeria's body was converted into the Harvisptokhm tree made of water in the desert to shield against the Abyss.

I believe they're referring to the World Quest [Khvarena of Good and Evil](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Khvarena_of_Good_and_Evil), which released in 3.6 and is where you learn about Egeria and the Harvisptokhm.

slayer589x2026-01-16 05:59
Yeah WQ can be too much for people .
Essentially Egeria , Rukhadevatta and Nabu Malikata (the goddess of flowers) worked together to create that tree which helped repel an abyss invasion that was about to happen which ended up with Egeria sacrificing herself and Rukhadevatta using Egerias consciousness as an anchor for the tree.
Porkfight2026-01-16 06:04
.......HUHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
MyAnthroRPAlt2026-01-16 06:55
I missed that detail about Egeria, too. Sumeru is really dense with mythology even before you throw in characters that either lie about or misunderstand the legends, and it can be tough to keep all the different gods straight. Compared to some other countries, it feels like Sumeru's got a region and a half's worth of lore. That's not a complaint in and of itself, I love sinking my teeth into lore, but if the meal's got too many spices you can't expect me to catch every nuance of flavor.
OnyxSeaDragon2026-01-16 12:50
Didn't Nabu Malikata die when Deshret was still around?
ZBot-Nick2026-01-16 15:09
Nah man. Most of what this guy is saying is artifact lore. Most of what you do in the actual quest do not actually mention the deeper significance of the Harvisptokhm. Its even in the link above this thread. Don't worry about it.
HDTurtle2026-01-16 09:56
Then the Moon Marrows wouldn't contain the Authorities, no? If that was the case, Columbina or Dottore would had noticed. Not to mention, if they contained no Authorities, how could Dottore gather and use their Moon Authority to become Trilunar God, gaining power over even the time itself?
It feels like this part of the story is not well explained.
HorribleDat2026-01-16 10:42
The way I understand it, moon marrows were basically the moon's equivalent to gnosis. An access key to the power (divine throne), but not the power itself.
Thundergod2502026-01-16 05:16
I got weirded out with the Paradox too, but I guess the only explanation is that the Moon Marrow doesn't actually get created from their Power but rather their celestial bodies itself. So, even if they are powerless at that point, once they die, a Moon Marrow will form from it.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 08:56
This. They are still gods, like Havria, so their deaths have a profound effect on the world. In this case, creating a Marrow after their death.
Giving away authority of the moon just means giving away the right to control it.
HDTurtle2026-01-16 09:35
Hm. I am a bit confused. It makes sense that their death would still produce Moon Marrow. But then, when Dottore uses the Moon Marrows, he should not be able to use their Authority, no? Since the authorities belong to Columbina now, sealed inside the Frost Moon?
It feels like Moon Marrows have authorities within them, and Columbina also has their authorities, given to her from the past. So there are multiple copies of them.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 10:34
>Since the authorities belong to Columbina now, sealed inside the Frost Moon?
1) While Dottore was doing his thing, Trilune Columbina is technically dead, so no one possesses said authority
2) Dottore has the mechanical part to hold the Moon Marrows
3) Giving Authority to Columbina means that the Marrows will not reject Columbina now. In the past before, Columbina is only able to slighly absorb the power from one of the Marrows, as they are not mutually compatible.
HDTurtle2026-01-16 10:42
I see. But then, Dottore is still able to use their powers when Columbina returns. At that point, Columbina is using the Trilunar Moon Authorities, but Dottore is also using them.
Also, Arle has the Crimson Moon Marrow now, given by Columbina. I would assume this Moon Marrow has its authorities since an empty one would be contrary to what was promised. But Columbina is still the Trilunar Goddess after that, as she herself states.
Any help clearing these confusions would be great help.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 12:40
Columbina has full control over the Moons, so that means that she can give them away to other people.
>But then, Dottore is still able to use their powers when Columbina returns. At that point, Columbina is using the Trilunar Moon Authorities, but Dottore is also using them.
Remember, Dottore is using his machinery to control the Marrows. He's merely mimicking the actual Authority imo. It's like a battle agaisnt the Real Trilune Goddess vs a Fake Trilune Thief.
Thundergod2502026-01-16 11:19
I believe the answer to this comes from who is being accepted by Teyvat like how Dottore was being rejected by it way back then.
Dottore having 3 Moon Marrows is legit.
But Columbina having 3 Authorities is also legit.
They're both the same power that shouldn't exist at the same time. Which is why the world will try to correct it at some point. We never got to this point since since Columbina solved the problem for them.
PandaBlueDance2026-01-16 05:17
Given that Dottore DIYed a third moon just having the marrows may have been enough despite all the powers still being scattered over the land.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 08:54
Technically, while Dottore was fiddling with the Moons, the OG Authority Holder of the moons was sealed in the Frostmoon, outside of Teyvat. So it's like having a masterless Moon Marrow, anyone could control it.
>!Columbina reforming back unsealed her Moon Authority, allowing her to snatch the Moon Marrows.!<
jhinigami2026-01-16 07:35
Id imagine its like when zhongli gave up his gnosis (and his archonhood) sure he gave up that power but he is still the Prime of the Adepti.
Same with Venti.
And as we know even dead gods especislly those who have so much grief in their hearts have long lasting effects on the land (Orobashi, Decarabia)
Maid_Calamitas2026-01-16 08:48
Wait when did zhongli gave up his divine throne??? I thought he only got rid of the gnosis and faked his dead, but he is still the geo archon, possesing the stolen elemental authority of geo
detecM2026-01-16 09:12
Gave away the gnosis is like giving away the key to your car. He already parted way with his authority and archonhood, no longer benefited from its power. Whatever left is his own power, not granted by celestia, like his pillar and geo power.
zzzuwuzzz2026-01-16 09:24
Gnosis is an amplifier at best, not a source of power. Ei never even touch her gnosis and she still have her full power.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 08:52
She doesn't have the Authority(aka control) over her moon. But she is still *a moon*. After her Moon Corpse tainted with the abyss was purified, she finally died and that produces the Moon Marrow.
Like say how Havria the God of Salt doesn't have any authority over any elemental throne, but she's still a god. So her death ultimately is still destructive.
zzzuwuzzz2026-01-16 09:22
If the moon marrow can still have authority to control the same as the moon that being used by dottore, what is the point of transferring authority? There is nothing being transferred. And if nothing is transferred, she could not escape from the prison.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 10:31
Moon Authority and Moon Marrow aren't the same thing.
While alive, the Moon Sisters have the authority to control their Moons. They passed this authority to Columbina, allowing her the full authority of Three Moons in the past. With said full authority, she basically transformed her body into Moonlight to shine over Nodkrai, killing herself.
After Moon Sisters died, their Moon Corpse will produce a Moon Marrow which in essence is the dead Moon. After being revived, Columbina is able to steal back the Marrows and control them, as without said Authority the Marrows will reject her.
zzzuwuzzz2026-01-16 11:50
The problem with that argument is that moon corpses hold no authority and Dottore would not have gained much power from using them. He would not have the power to rival god and pose any real threat. Unless you can offer explaination why they regain their authority over time after dead.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 12:51
You're misunderstanding.
Moon Marrow = Dead Moon's Powers
Moon Authority ≠ Dead Moon Power
Moon Authority = Ability to use Moon powers without being rejected
We have to remember, that this isn't Archon and Sovereign Authority/Throne, as there is a physical form of the powers in the form of the Marrows.
Columbina gained all 3 Authorities from the 3 Moon Sisters, become Trilune Columbina. Now can fully use all the powers of the 3 Moons without being rejected, unlike before.
This allows her to destroy her body into Moonlight, sealing her Soul in the Reflection, and Sealing the Trilune Authority into the Frostmoon.
Before Trilune Columbina's revival, everyone can use the Moon Marrows' powers, as the true Authority has been sealed, and is outside of the Firmament.
To prevent the Marrows from simply being stolen, Dottore probably mimicked the Trilune Authority, enabling him to truly use the Moon Marrows to its full potential.
After Trilune Columbina's revival, it's a matter of Real vs Artificial Authorities fighting over the Moon Marrows.
zzzuwuzzz2026-01-16 14:48
>Moon Authority = Ability to use Moon powers without being rejected
>Before Trilune Columbina's revival, everyone can use the Moon Marrows' powers, as the true Authority has been sealed, and is outside of the Firmament.
These 2 statements contradict each other as columbina definitely being rejected since the beginning of the archon quest. This is because the moon she belongs to was not physically in teyvat as they are behind the false sky. It is not until they brought the moon down that she finally became "legit".
This show the ability to use moon power without being rejected is the physical body of the moon itself, not the moon marrow (otherwise after columbina absorb other moon, she would have been fine) or sth related to that which Dottore somehow be able to recreate.
Powdz2026-01-16 16:28
I was a bit lost about the Authority and Marrow stuff, this cleared it up a bit actually, thanks for the read.
One more thing tho, didn’t Canon say something about the body won’t be able to handle all 3 Authorities? Feels like they glossed over that part after Columbina obtained them.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 23:11
>One more thing tho, didn’t Canon say something about the body won’t be able to handle all 3 Authorities? Feels like they glossed over that part after Columbina obtained them.
That was the point. Technically Columbina died after obtaining all three authorities, because she turned herself into moonlight.
OnyxSeaDragon2026-01-16 13:05
Yeah I think this is the real issue
It is obvious the authorities still exist, and gathering the moon marrows/moons together successfully grants the trilunar authority, ie the authority is inherent in the moon goddess' powers
Which is why even when columbina was trapped by dottore, by harnessing her power he could wield all the authorities
Then, when columbina disappeared, he could create a fake moon using Kuuvahki (columbinas power), thus regranting him the trilunar authority (I believe the authority is weaker here, given that he could no longer use time stops to no diff the cast)
So IMO the authority is inherent in their power as well, hence why Dottore can still wield it.
If I had to guess, what Dottore has is akin to a vision, and what Columbina has is akin to a gnosis, kind of like what Neuvilette has now (full authority over Hydro but there still exist hydro vision wielders who can use part of Hydro's power)
But it still doesn't make sense IMO - if you grant someone your authority, how can the authority be recreated? How can there be 2 authorities? I get that in this case Dottore's is weaker than columbina's, but where does the authority reside, since it is not in the moon marrows?
Captain_Jackson2026-01-16 16:59
Wasn't there a line one of them said to bina about how she'd only have their authorities in that space to (preserve their future timeline) or something along those lines. Granted, I don't understand how she has trilunar authority when she gets reborn if that is the case too.
Elinim2026-01-16 18:02
Dottore uses the crimson marrow (body) to hijack the crimson authority that's hidden in the sky by columbina.
The crimson soul (sonnet) is long dead.
sometimesicri2026-01-18 08:53
I wondered about this too, but I think moon marrows and moon authorities are different things.
It’s kinda like the difference between an archon’s innate power vs having their respective gnosis.
Now as to why the marrows gave dottore the ability to control primordial powers (time, space, life, death, reason), I’m not exactly sure. It’s possible that the authority AND the moon sisters’ innate abilities contain these powers.
Thundergod2502026-01-16 05:17
Did both Aria and Sonnet just instantly die (about to die for Sonnet) upon getting back to the real world?
TetraNeuron2026-01-16 06:10
I assume so. Canon managed to survive for some time after (enough time to lead the Frostmoon's ancestor Hyperboreans to Nod-Krai) and teach them some elemental powers, but she still slowly faded away
northernoverture2026-01-16 09:13
>Canon managed to survive for some time after (enough time to lead the Frostmoon's
She lived her whole life with her sisters and couldn't imagine being without them. So much so that she chose death with her sisters to help Columbina over the chance to revive. Now she must watch them disappear as she herself slowly fades away as the last one left :(
6.3 AQ is probably the #1 quest that has made me cry along with a whole range of emotions. As a 1.0 player I called the first GAA peak but now Nod Krai is my new highlight of Genshin.
DigiAirship2026-01-16 10:36
I would assume that Canon at least lived for longer than Aria. From what Sonnet's moon marrow said, after they were freed she and Aria had to experience their moons being shattered, which would have killed them both if not for Sonnet being corrupted by the Abyss. But Canon never had her moon shatter, so even if she had no powers left due to giving them away, there's no reason for her to die immediately. Maybe she just faded away, like Bina would have, due to Phanes sending the Frostmoon away from Teyvat?
Fullpotentialk2026-01-16 15:59

Columbina’s journey was a Bootstrap paradox. She was going back in time but not to change anything, rather her actions resulted in ensuring the timeline is intact and the loop is closed.
In this case, at the end of her road the original Moon Goddesses gave up their authority and gave it to her, turning her into the Trilune Goddess. Aria, Sonnet and Canon then asked Bina to finally free them out of their prison so they can die in their real home. However, as we see in the cutscene, while Aria and Canon have accepted their final fate there and then, Sonnet was still scared. Columbina knew that the Iridescent Moon was fated to be corrupted by the Abyss but knew she could not just tell her to not be corrupted due to the paradox and instead just told her she was happy to have her as a big sister.
And now based on her lines here, it appears that’s indeed what happened. When Bina sent them back, Aria and Canon died out but Sonnet could still not accept death, and the abyss fed on that desire corrupting her.

So wait does that mean sonnet went to Khaneriah 500+ years back from now after they gave up authority to Bina
markz61972026-01-17 03:26
Implied to be far earlier than that, she was already the Crimson Moon when the Khaenrians found it and established the Crimson Moon Dynasty. The Eclipse Dynasty was already reigning for quite a while too before the Cataclysm.

after they left the lunar reflection prison by giving up their power, they were returned back in their time, in which the war of funerary flame happened right after. the heavenly principles shattered the iridescent and eternal moon. only the frost moon wasnt shattered but it was thrown outside the false sky. this was sonnet—the iridescent moon—after being shattered. at least, a part of her that survived as the moon marrow.
KazakiriKaoru2026-01-16 09:03
The Moon's Reflection is a prison. But Columbina is the only entity that can travel back in time. So she literally went so far back, she went up to the moment of the creating of the Reflection and the moment the Moons were imprisoned.
The mechanism of the entrapment of the Reflection is imprisoning the Moon Goddess. After giving up their authorities, the Moon Sisters basically became mortal and was thus being killed by the Reflection. After becoming the Trilune Goddess, Columbina was able to transport them out of the Reflection, back to their respective homes, back during the War of Funerary Flame. This is when they were killed via having the Moons shattered(Eternal and Iridescent). The Frost Moon was probably killed, but not shattered.

You DO NOT hate aria and canon enough.
PassionIll32812026-01-16 08:19
why what why would you hate them
Entity10802026-01-16 08:46
I think it's because they basically let an entire species get slaughtered just because they were curious. Only Sonnet was the one against the whole idea of HP doing whatever they wanted.
DigiAirship2026-01-16 10:37
Which species was that? The dragons of Natlan?
Entity10802026-01-16 10:41
The entire species of dragons across Teyvat to be more specific.

after doing the quest I felt dread and sorrow after knowing what happened to her ngl
drakusmaximusrex2026-01-16 12:56
Hmmm im still hoping that after bina made them mortal and sent them back to Teyvat, they somehow ended up in the present, but thats probably not what happened :(

I had nearly forgotten the fate of the three sisters until I saw the flashback of the corrupted moon. The moon sisters didn't deserve any of this.
Pellecks022026-01-16 20:45
Yes, retroactively one of the saddest moments in the series.
AL-KY2026-01-16 21:37
Wait so did sonnett embrace abyss right after saying goodbye to bina?
Junior_Box_28002026-01-17 22:28
idc if the sky frost nails were justified in some cases to temper abyssal corruption Phanes/The Heavenly Principles AND Nibelung both aint shit for what they put Teyvat and esp the moon sisters through, I'll never forgive any of them. There is no way Hoyo could ever make me sympathize with Celestia idc how hot they make the Shades!

She was wary because of that in fact
The answer however has always been to warn someone of the future because fiction always writes its away around it to ignore any other outcome.
However nobody said you can't fix dead moons and corrupted moons. The whole theme of this game is to remove the abyss and remove the gods. Only then will mankind believe in itself.
If she wasn't warned, she'd be tricked by the abyss into absorbing it.
It's a lose-lose situation no matter what.
> Like a vase that falls to the ground. Whether it is broken by a cat or by a bird, the result is still a broken vase, is it not?
The whole thing was how Columbina realized she can influence the "past" but she can not go overboard... because when she influenced a card/traveler there was nothing to replace that kuvakhi pulse meaning the world realized she was there and brought her back to moon prison.
OH MY GOD THE FORESHADOWING.
> the fate of Teyvat cannot easily be changed
And then the definition of descender is
> individuals who are capable of transcending Teyvat's "laws" and influencing its fate.
The existence of 2 ending screen on Act 8 was quite unsettling. It may points that whatever we see may just be some sort of fake out.
The only Moon Marrow to ever speak was hers... I don't think she had her sisters for long..
I think if Columbina didn't use it, it would fall apart all the same?
Guess who killed Nibelung
I saw a really great theory that the "Power That Could Rival the World" that the 5 Sinners found was actually Nibelung's corpse.
It would explain why there was such a huge amount of Abyss power in the first place, and why the Sinner's powers are mirrors of Life/Death/Reason/Space/Time, because Nibelung was the original creators of the Moons that held those powers
biding his time, weakening Teyvat for his next, presumably last assault against HP.
I've got nothing go on for this one, but i also think The Abyss are corrupting The Tsaritsa. Her rebellion against the heavens directly opens an opportunity for The Abyss to consume and end Teyvat too, like it's done with many other worlds in the bubble universe Genshin is set in.
Edit: Spelling
Essentially Egeria , Rukhadevatta and Nabu Malikata (the goddess of flowers) worked together to create that tree which helped repel an abyss invasion that was about to happen which ended up with Egeria sacrificing herself and Rukhadevatta using Egerias consciousness as an anchor for the tree.
It feels like this part of the story is not well explained.
Giving away authority of the moon just means giving away the right to control it.
It feels like Moon Marrows have authorities within them, and Columbina also has their authorities, given to her from the past. So there are multiple copies of them.
Dottore having 3 Moon Marrows is legit.
But Columbina having 3 Authorities is also legit.
They're both the same power that shouldn't exist at the same time. Which is why the world will try to correct it at some point. We never got to this point since since Columbina solved the problem for them.
>!Columbina reforming back unsealed her Moon Authority, allowing her to snatch the Moon Marrows.!<
Same with Venti.
And as we know even dead gods especislly those who have so much grief in their hearts have long lasting effects on the land (Orobashi, Decarabia)
Like say how Havria the God of Salt doesn't have any authority over any elemental throne, but she's still a god. So her death ultimately is still destructive.
One more thing tho, didn’t Canon say something about the body won’t be able to handle all 3 Authorities? Feels like they glossed over that part after Columbina obtained them.
That was the point. Technically Columbina died after obtaining all three authorities, because she turned herself into moonlight.
The crimson soul (sonnet) is long dead.
