My old teams barely break 70k DPS?
Loving the Milliastra dummies so far, I tried a bunch of different teams etc.
I didn't pull much of the newest characters, so many of my most invested teams are basically from the pre-Natlan meta.
Well, I tried a bunch of teams and it might be skill issue but wdym the current meta is around 120k DPS and I just deal a little more than half of that lmaoo
My characters aren't even badly built (at all), so I admit I was pretty surpised.
Did powercreep really got that bad and I just didn't realize or is it skill issue?
I tried Wrio melt, Alhaitham, Lyney, Yae + Fischl aggravate, Tighnari.. without modern supports they all hover from 60 to 70k DPS
I think Xiao XXFF got to 80k or something, but only my Durin team managed to break 100k DPS mark (but he's a new character, so I guess that's that?)

Natlan as a whole was a massive boost to team DPS, with Mavuika standing way at the top. With Columbina's release, highly invested Lunar teams are also now surpassing Mavuika (unless you do the super complex combos with her).
So yeah, you're not doing anything wrong (in terms of your gameplay) and the powercreep was more than you noticed.
This is mostly irrelevant since endgame DPS thresholds outside SO Dire doesn't require nearly as much
But you should be able to achieve more than 70K with properly built and teamed older on-fielders. Could be a build, teammate or rotation issue.

I ask cause I remembered a thread back in Natlan of people fussing over Mountain King having a huge HP upscale when he returned to SA so just wondering if HP inflation is becoming an issue for older DPS
Array has invulnerability phase that makes him take around 10 seconds longer
Cactus and Knuckle Duckle take max hp% true damage when you clear their shield phase
Consider these and then divide total HP on both sides by 180 seconds (or in Array's case, 170)
If your teams are disadvantaged, you’re probably not even clearing with 100k DPS. You’ll need Mavuika OL/Skirk levels of DPS (~120k ish) to even try and brute force disadvantaged stages.
Here's 2 you can use, pick whichever server you're playing, go to search wonderlands and put the GUID o the search bar

I notice a lot of calculations tend to presume a character has their signature weapon. Did you get those for your older units? That probably makes a decent difference in what you might want to be expecting. But that's like just another lever of power creep where they want you to spend more so be careful about that.
When I put xilonen c2 in instead of Geo mc it became 120k
Columbina gap is huge
Time to reevaluate my team rotation and train some combos, 'cause this is unacceptable
That’s why people like Mavuika overload because it’s far more braindead and the combos are far less punishing if you mess them up. You can pretty much ignore auras completely and reach well over 100k.
Arlecchino around the time of her release was doing ~80k DPS (going off KQMs f2p investment), and she was considered one of the strongest characters in the game at the time. 100k DPS was considered the peak of the meta in 4.X, and you needed signature weapons and/or constellations to hit those numbers.
At the start of Natlan, Mualani was theoretically matching Neuvillette’s numbers (around 80k-90k in ideal conditions), and potentially could go up to 100k, but her perceived “clunkiness” made her realistically not as good. Kinich and Chasca were also hovering around the 80-90k line. Powercreep was still pretty tame at the start of 5.X.
But once Mavuika dropped in 5.3, all hell broke loose. Her **suboptimal** teams were already beating Arlecchino’s, and her melt teams blew everything else out of the water completely, easily surpassing 120k DPS, and approaching the 130k line. 5.3 was the start of Genshin’s true powercreep.
Mavuika set a new standard for DPSes. Immediately following her we got Varesa who was easily matching Neuv and Arle’s top teams while her teams were suboptimal. Varesa’s premium teams were pushing 110k DPS. Then Skirk came along and nearly matched Mavuika, at 110-120k DPS.
Eventually players found new combos with Mavuika to really push her numbers up, making her new overload combos hit her old melt numbers (120-130k) and her new melt numbers capping at 150k (and potentially higher depending on how sweaty of a player you are). Skirk also recently got some new combos that push her up to nearly 130k.
Things didn’t slow down from Nod Krai onwards. At release, Flins and Nefer premium teams were already nearly matching Mavuika’s overload teams at ~110-120k DPS, potentially higher with good play. And this was with **Aino** as their hydro unit, and we all know how cope Aino is as a unit overall.
With Columbina, Nod Krai DPSes are basically caught up with Mavuika melt (130-150k depending on investment like signatures), and keep in mind this is with equal amounts of limited units (Mav uses Citlali and Xilonen or C6 Iansan and C1+ Bennett; Flins uses Ineffa and Columbina with C0 Sucrose, and Nefer uses Lauma and Columbina with Nahida/Sucrose/general flex).
I myself have a C1R1 Premium Flins team (C0R1 Columbina/C0 Ineffa with Scarlet Sands instead of sig/Sucrose whose constellations don’t matter but also using R5 Wandering Evenstar), and I am easily hitting 150k DPS with only decent rotations, not tryharding. And keep in mind my Columbina is only 6/6/6 talents atm since I haven’t done the AQ yet and don’t want to quickstart the Dottore fight because spoilers.
