TIL: Columbina Elemental Burst is totally useless without another Nod Krai 5 star character

I was saving for her and she was my only planned pull for Nod Krai. Got her and her signature weapon.

But when I was watching videos on how to build her I was surprised to learn her Elemental Burst is totally useless without another Nod Krai 5 star I. The party.

Apparently any Lunar Bloom/Crystalize/Charge from non-Nod Krai characters are NOT considered Lunar Reactions but just conversions from regular reactions to Lunar.

This renders Columbina's Elemental Burst useless if Columbina is the only Nod Krai 5 star Character in the party.

Also, the lines in Nod Krai Artifacts that give bonus to Lunar Reactions are useless without another Nod Krai 5 star in the party since only Nod Krai 5 star characters can trigger Lunar Reactions.

Kinda wish I knew this sooner before pulling haha oh well can't help but feel she is so gate-kept.

Columbina herself deals lunar reaction damage, too, though, based on the most common reaction that triggered during her skill.

But yes, she's not very good as the sole lunar reaction character.

Shes not that amazing without another 5star from NK. She stil a catalyst with reliable offield hydro but thats about it, dont expect her alone to carry a non lunar team.

Idk if the OP is right, I am able to defeat easily any Nod Krai bosses doing Lunar Charge and Lunar Crystallize thanks to her. Attacks from my Raiden and Xilonen are causing this, and it has been great so far. I'm not planning on building Aino and I do not have anyone from Nod Krai besides them two

I'm not that deep into game mechanic knowledge so I could be wrong, but I don't think this is true? Booted up a Miliastra test dummy, one of the ones that has a breakdown of each character's damage contribution, and just put Columbina and Fischl on my team

Did a dozen or so tests of each of these

1. Columbina E, Fischl E, and wait until the durations run out

2. Columbina EQ, Fischl E, and wait until the durations run out

I know there's some variance from A4 giving the chance to double proc LC, but the tests using her burst consistently did a chunk more damage than without. And in the damage breakdown chart, Fischl's damage was also higher with Bina burst because, as far as I understand it, she's also contributing to the LC damage

Please correct me if I'm wrong though! As I said, not that knowledgeable so maybe my testing method was bad

Lunar reaction damage is basically any italic number: while Lunar-Bloom damage is exclusively only through specific character abilities, Lunar-Charged and Lunar-Crystallize themselves will do Lunar reaction damage through the thunderbolts from the clouds and the projectiles from the pillars, respectively.

Lunar reactions arent really something gamebreaking. Its just that NK supports that are built around those reactions - Ineffa and Lauma - are really freakish strong. Columbina will get you through some of the lunar shill like Herra but her main role is to amplify lunar teams.

Bloom doesnt get buff but lunar charged and lunar crystalize does get buffed. Its not just conversion its an actual lunar reaction dmg only bloom is fake.
