I have not heard of this, but if you have to ask ... 99.999/100 times, you should listen to your gut and assume scam.

It’s literally all over HoYoLAB and on a giant banner when you go to the official site manually

Nice to see that I get downvoted for telling a person to err on the side of caution and not trust an email they got where they couldn't confirm the contents or sender. Classic

Its also in the hoyolab app

xVelunax2026-01-16 03:41

HAHA A real scam would try to offer you something ridiculous like 50% off. Hoyoverse as stingy as they are would indeed only ever offer 5% as I see it

Fantastic_Stay80592026-01-16 03:42

Yup I've gotten it aswell, it's not a scan and also 5% off is practically nothing

haonanc2026-01-16 03:42

Thank you

yes. you can get better deals if you have samsung galaxy store (this will depend on your region but in EU they do regular deals including giving you a monthly 50% off coupon for in-app purchases and several 30% off coupons every month although capped usually). You would also get better deal from lootbar.gg i think, which I understand is officially recognized by MHY so you wont be in trouble for using it.

Whaaaat why haven't I heard of this before?? 50% off of primogem purchases?

phonograhy2026-01-16 05:12

(but you have to be playing through the galaxy store, so you have to own a samsung phone). they used to offer 90% of coupons too for a while but they don't do that anymore sadly.

SoC1752026-01-16 13:00

The max saving is capped at 5€ for both the 90% and 50% coupons

So you can buy a welkin for 0.49€ instead of 4.99€ or a battlepass for 4.99€ instead of 9.99€

A 99€ primos would only get reduced to 94€

Edit: I even think they recently got more stingy and now it's capped at 3€

tofy20982026-01-21 06:16

90% coupon is no more
It only for specific games (pubg for now) this suck ffs

Things_Fall_Apart2026-01-16 03:46

No, it is not a scam. They've been offering this for a while now trying to entice people to use their official top up site.

Bluetooth_Speaker12026-01-16 04:10

Idk about this email but the offer is real, you can see it on their official top up site. It's just probably not worth it though, cause 5 percent is barely anything anyway lmao
