Dear Hoyoverse, I have a life

I just learned the new archon quest is SIX. HOURS. LONG.??? WITH NO WHERE TO PAUSE IN BETWEEN????? Not everyone has that kind of time. I much prefer doing my stories bits at a time, and even if I did binge it, I’d still like to be able to log off and save my progress like you would in any other game that exists on this earth. PLEASE UPDATE AND ADD A SEVERAL BREAKS IN BETWEEN. The idea of it being 6 hours long is so daunting I might literally never get to it… 😫
Help me out friends, maybe they’ll hear us if we petition on Reddit or something

There are breaks, most loading screens are save points, sometimes you’ll see ‘saving’ in the bottom corner of a black screen

What I did when I wanted a break was to just force close the game. Then when it was time to resume I would spam click thru the stuff I had to repeat until I was back where I was.

There is a lot of break point, every time you change scene, every time there is that loud teleport scene, and now there is saving message on bottom right too.

For example there is segment where you control Flins in nasha town, you can quit the scene and you can continue from that point.

There are several checkpoints throughout the story. You can close the game without losing much progress at all.

You only have to repeat like 5 lines/clicks if you leave, most of the time none, at least for me was like that..

Theres a little glowy thing that says "Back to story" when you return.

Six hours? Really? I spam skipped everything I could as fast as possible and it took like 2 hours if I recall correctly.

You can pause whenever you want.

I just ALT-F4'd after a loading screen and was put out in the world the next day.

I don't mind the length, I just wish it was more interactive than it was, felt like it was 20 minutes of actually gameplay and several hours of non-stop story. Felt like I was playing FF14 again. "Turn in quest, 30 minute cutscene, walk over to character B with character A, 10-20 minute cutscene. Okay kill like 5 creatures, back into half an hour cutscene." Maybe it's just cause I'm so used to running around the world between each quest turn in while doing it so having a few chests to collect along the way made the story feel less like that up to this point.

Still a 10/10 story though, and especially the dottore fight.

Your complaints are generally valid for long AQs, however for this one, almost 100% of it takes place inside a domain, so you actually can leave and go back in. This isn't true of every AQ but it is of act 7 and 8.

If you leave the domain and come back at any point will you start off at the exact point you left or will you have to redo some parts?
