Am I the only person in the world skipping Columbina and Ineffa?

I am skipping both of them (as well as Varka) for Mavuika cons and Kinich cons. The Nod Krai AQ failed to make me interested in Columbina as a character, and I only pull characters I like, so I decided to skip Columbina in favour of Kinich and Mavuika cons, who are my favourite characters.

However, it feels as if every single person I know is pulling Columbina, so I am wondering if anyone here is skipping Columbina.

Ok and? Are you looking for sympathizers or something? Is this for a thesis?

Probably

No, nobody else in the whole wide world does what you are doing, you special snowflake, you. You are extremely unique.

Early_Department89752026-01-16 07:54

Crazy

PAT_ball52302026-01-16 07:56

what's so crazy about skipping a character you have no interest in?

Jirul112026-01-16 08:35

they mean it's crazy u don't like them enough to pull i'm guessing

Arnimon2026-01-16 07:56

Only one in the whole wide world

Zealousideal_Use_9662026-01-16 08:01

I'm on the same boat, although for different reasons.

PAT_ball52302026-01-16 08:02

Finally someone skipping her! Who are you pulling instead?

Zealousideal_Use_9662026-01-16 08:37

I'm saving for Xianyun, I need her for my Varesa team. I don't know when she's coming but I rather play it safe. Lauma might be nice too.

PAT_ball52302026-01-16 10:16

Xianyun is a really good character who works for many DPS and any character can be turned into a pyro plunge. I don't think she will get powercrept that fast too.

I got Ineffa for Flins but have no interest in Columbina. I also save the rest for Varka.

Ossuum2026-01-16 08:05

No. I was hoping Columbina would finally break the hydro curse, but no, it keeps hanging over me.

Jirul112026-01-16 08:31

what's the hydro curse

Ossuum2026-01-16 08:40

Every single hydro character released by Hoyo since 1.0 ending up either completely unenjoyable to play for me or straight up disfunctional.

Ayato, Nilou, Yelan, Candace, Neuvillette, I keep getting hyped and then bitterly disappointed.

Jirul112026-01-16 08:43

Oh I'm sorry you feel that way I love Hydro lol. What playstyles are you looking for?

Ossuum2026-01-16 09:08

I like Ganyu, Tighnari and Sethos (although I'm irked that Sara didn't get Sethos' kit). If Yelan had her cutscene ult and abundant breakthrough shot procs instead of being a stupid XQ clone, she'd have been perfect.

If Nilou played like Alhaitham, an ATK+EM-scaling skill combo onfielder armed with a scimitar (instead of mugging Candace for her family relic in a backalley), that would've been really cool, too.

Speaking of Candace, if she had hybrid scaling instead of split one and could proc her own C6, I'd build her as dps happily.

StickMick012026-01-16 10:41

Nah speak for yourself. Hydro units are mostly functional. Don't place that curse on yourself, yea? It's all in your head.

Ossuum2026-01-16 10:45

...Why are you telling me to speak for myself when I am speaking for myself to begin with?

StickMick012026-01-16 10:46

Nice nice very nice Possuum. Acknowledge the fact that your hydro curses are on you 🤝🤝

I also am !! no one is better then the Fontaine cast in my mind, everything for Neuvillette, sigewinne and Wriothesley !!

PAT_ball52302026-01-16 08:14

Me too! No one is better than the Natlan cast in my mind, everything for Kinich and Mavuika!!!

SocietyAvailable45492026-01-16 08:16

yess !! I just don’t connect with the nodkrai cast and although the story is good I don’t care, screw meta.

PAT_ball52302026-01-16 10:18

Maybe it is because the Nod Krai cast do not have that many interactions with each other on a 1 to 1 setting and even when they do it is more battle related, no calm winding down moments unlike the Natlan cast.

SocietyAvailable45492026-01-16 10:42

yess

Nah, Columbina is too adorable and I just could not skip her. Tried to get Columbina and Ineffa, but failed the 50/50 every time like always. I am so salty that I cannot get Ineffa anymore. Cleared every map in Teyvet completely, so RIP. I just want Ineffa. Man, I loathe MHY for this shitty system. CR is only a bandaid at best.

However, if you do not want either, it is perfectly fine. No need to pull for characters you do not like.

PAT_ball52302026-01-16 10:18

Ah yes someone who finally understands that there is no need to pull for character you do not like regardless of their popularity!

Background_Dot36922026-01-16 08:29

A lot of players are f2p, and they couldn't afford to get the all chars they like.

So, people are getting her not only because she's cute, adorable, interesting, or else, but because she's benefit most of the teams.

Doesn't matter if you have Nod krai chars or not, she is very useful. Her main selling point for me was the ability to do lunar attacks without any Nod krai chars.

Jirul112026-01-16 08:33

yup this, gotta budget so u can clear endgame and get those primos

Petraam2026-01-16 09:54

Judging based on all the people requesting to join my world… yes
