About the nature of Teyvat

Since the latest AQ kind of "confirmed" that Teyvat is a planet world and not some floating landmass covered by False Sky...

so what the heck is the "Teyvat's border" that Alice is watching over then?

Definitely not the border between land and space coz that's already the False Sky, not the border between life and afterlife either coz Hu Tao's story already explored that, and definitely not the "border" between Teyvat and the Abyss world as Abyss creatures could just appear anywhere...

Is Alice just looking at some empty sea or something?

I was thinking of part of False Sky that's lying on "edge" Teyvat somewhere beyond the ocean, assuming it was flat, but the round planet Teyvat disproved that coz no way it could have an "edge" since what will lie beyond the ocean is just same Teyvat but the opposite side

This implies the “border” is what separates and hides Teyvat which may otherwise require special means to access (Surtalogi creating the portal or Bina using the tunnel)

The border is the fake sky.

It's a dome over the habitable part of the planet to protect it from the Abyss cloud surrounding the entire planet. Hence the reason why the real moons are outside the dome.

Maybe Alice is guarding the border between "Teyvat" and "not-teyvat" like Yukari helps maintain Gensokyo's border by defining the gap between Gensokyo and the outside world? Since we know the frost moon now being recognized as a part of teyvat bc it's inside the false sky, and since we see that the false sky includes the panorama of stars the heavenly principle painted, Alice could be responsible for the shell that's the outer physical edge of the false sky that separates teyvat and the abyss infested space.

My biggest confusion though is the geography and location of Kahnrea. We know the abyss and the stars are the same thing for them and to go down down down (to the deepest parts of Kahnrea where they put the abyss Twin and kahrea's abyss engine) is to go up, but how does that work if teyvat is a spherical planet? Did Phanes have to keep a bit of I separated space deep inside the planet's core bc teyvat was originally the dragon's light realm and the light realm didn't have a clear distinction with the dark void and abyss?
