Daily Questions Megathread (January 16, 2026)
Ask about anything about the game that doesn't necessarily require a dedicated thread.
That is, if your question can be answered rather quickly/without significant difficulty (e.g. "Can my phone run this game?"), ask here. If you think your question can contribute to some constructive discussions (e.g. "What do you think of Amber's combat efficiency? Here's my opinion."), make a particular post with the "discussion" flair.

Might be wrong, but I'm probably right
I quit after I saw that ridiculous thing in 1st anniversary and now im getting stray reels so im kinda curious now.
For one, they added a system that basically prevents you from losing too many 50/50s in a row. When calculated over a long number of pulls, it bumps the average rates up to 55/45 in favor of getting the featured character. They also improved the weapon banner to allow you to guarantee one of the weapons of your choosing within 2 5 star pulls.
The MC has definitely improved a good bit, mainly with the most recent story arc. They have significantly more voicelines, and aren't tied to the hip with Paimon as egregiously as before. They even finally got a new outfit.
MC started speaking from like Fontaine with the inner thoughts, and in the latest AQ in Nod Krai MC has more voiced lines than Paimon.
>Like is it generous?
You get the usual 50-80 rolls per patch for F2P depending the patch but they also did some banner changes like the comment described and do more things like character/constellation selector for older/outdated characters.
thnx in advance!
First off, is Skirk useful even with low ressources? I love the character design but I also would like a strong DPS to carry throughout the whole game and not just late game.
Secondly, should I pull on Columbina? This character is pretty cool but given on how scarce wishes can be I’d much rather invest in a strong support for Skirk that has some synergy with it.
From what I’ve gathered Escoffier should rerun alongside Varka and Skirk should be the banner just after. Considering I don’t have a winning 50/50 would it be too unlikely to get Escoffier on my first 50/50 then Skirk on the second?
I’ve also heard that Escoffier is a wonderful support for Skirk and I’ve been wondering if Columbina would be able to replace it with the same usefulness? How do they compare in a Skirk team?
Sorry for the long text and thank you to everyone that responds ^^
As long as you follow her teambuilding rules [cryo and hydro only], she'll be pretty strong even without her full premium team. More than enough to carry you through the game.
>Secondly, should I pull on Columbina? This character is pretty cool but given on how scarce wishes can be I’d much rather invest in a strong support for Skirk that has some synergy with it.
Wishes aren't really that scarce when you're this new. You could easily pull for Columbina now and still grind out enough primos from exploration to grab both Skirk and Escoffier during their reruns. The issue here is that I don't know if you even have a team for Columbina, and since you're new I'm assuming not. So Columbina won't be particularly useful for you unless you were to pull a lunar DPS [Zibai, Flins, Nefer] or lunar support [Ineffa, Lauma].
>From what I’ve gathered Escoffier should rerun alongside Varka and Skirk should be the banner just after.
So far we only have rumors as to when they'll rerun, but they should hopefully be pretty soon, yeah.
>Considering I don’t have a winning 50/50 would it be too unlikely to get Escoffier on my first 50/50 then Skirk on the second?
As an anecdote, I won two 50/50s in a row on Columbina, lost a third one, then used a guarantee to get Ineffa, then won another 50/50 on Columbina again. It's hypothetically possible and reasonable for you to have that luck, or you might have much worse luck than me.
>I’ve also heard that Escoffier is a wonderful support for Skirk and I’ve been wondering if Columbina would be able to replace it with the same usefulness? How do they compare in a Skirk team?
Not even remotely comparable. There is absolutely no replacement for Escoffier in a Skirk team, she's the #1 priority behind Skirk herself. Columbina doesn't really do anything that Skirk needs, and all she'd be doing is hydro application and decent subdps damage, with her only buffs coming from tenacity and TTDS. You could make it work in a pinch [until I got Furina, I used Kokomi in that role to accomplish this exact same thing], but don't bother pulling Columbina if your only plan for her is to use her with Skirk.
I got ineffa and am planning to get columbina.
So let's say like my current scenario right now.
Mizuki > Bina > Diluc > Ineffa (hopefully). So I have 2 points now?
Now if I keep pulling
Mizuki > Bina > Diluc > Ineffa **>** Standard
I will then have 3 points which will trigger CR, but what comes first, since I lost my 50/50 I'm still guaranteed, then after that my next 50/50 will automatically win? so probably something like this?
Mizuki > Bina > Diluc > Ineffa > Standard > Guaranteed > CR
Hope I'm making sense here
So you can just count your 50/50 progress only and ignore guarantees. When counter reaches 3 you get a guarantee win on a 50/50. You get +1 to the counter for a lost 50/50, -1 for a won 50/50, triggering CR resets counter to 1 (if you win next 50/50 after that the counter goes to 0 but it can't go into negatives).
Assuming you started at 1 point:
Mizuki 50/50 loss = 2 points
Bina guarantee = no CR change
Diluc 50/50 loss = 3 points (75% chance to win 50/50)
Ineffa guarantee = no CR change
Next char = 4 points, CR trigger (100% chance to win 50/50) = CR counter resets back to 1
Next roll is a 50/50.
Everyone started from 1 CR point when it was added in 5.0 and since you probably rolled a few characters since then you'll have to go back and check your 50/50 progress since then (or if you got a radiance, recall when you got it and count from there).

The traveler >!learned from the spaceship travel log that the sibling probably stepped into Teyvat hundreds of years before her!<, but in Genshin´s initial cutscene, >!both siblings are together trying to escape the space shade as if they went to that world together.!<
How is this possible?>!, is the travel log wrong or was there another passanger who actually went out of the ship?, or maybe the cutscene is just a fake memory planted in the traveler by the heavenly principles?!<
>!Spaceship passes through Teyvat. Abyss Sibling summoned by Khaenri'ah and loses their memory. Spaceship randomly crashed in NodKrai. Catacalysm happened. Diredyth told Abyss Sibling our location. Someone do correct me if I'm wrong.
My on field Columbina has 37k HP, 100/355 crit and ~500 EM in combat, using her sig
Should I swap to HP circlet over crit damage? How does that work in Lunar Damage? I know the lunar formula has crit damage, but it doesnt have HP on it
Normal formula: `base * dmg bonus * crit`
Lunar formula: `base * (EM + reaction bonus) * crit`
Keep the crit circlet.
\>35k hp to max out the moonsign passive's lunar base dmg%, and as much crit as you can get your hands on in a balanced manner.
Note that the new aubade set is often not preferred over serenade, whose 2p ER is very much appreciated.
Notably, Ineffa in Flins teams is in a similar spot as Lauma; it's worth giving her aubade while Columbina again carries serenade.
as for weapons my only 4★ are 3 copies of Widsith and 5 copies of Waveriding Whirl should I use one of them or a 3★ that gives EM will be enough?
If you don't want to do Mavuika combos, and with Furina rerun this year already? Zibai Aino Illuga might be your best bet. Or wait for later patches and hope they do a 3rd team type in nod krai not tied to lunar or hex.
I feel like I should probably just go with Iansan and Aino? Or should I maybe put in a fourth element?
I basically have this NA acc that I started and use just to pull for characters, but it was supposedly mainly for Kinich. When luna version came, I basically knew that Flins was right for me—so I pulled for him. And since Ineffa and Columbina are basically the perfect characters for him, which one should I get?
Rn my na is only ar47, but killing bosses isn't much of a problem. My current teams for Flins is HomaFlins, FavAino, FavOroron, and FavSucrose.
\- You go all in Flins then Ineffa is the better first pull as she is the bigger benefit to Flins than Bina. But you generally don't use her in other Lunar teams outside maybe Hyperbloom w/Lauma or just as an off field Electro driver.
\- You want to branch out to other Lunar teams in the future then Bina is a straight upgrade for Aino and can be paired with any other Lunar DPS.
So Ineffa takes priority if you wanna try for the full team and are thinking about getting both.
If you want only one its dependent on what you prefer more. Ineffa is great sustain and helps with energy, both do a lot of damage and help the team.
Am I guaranteed a limited weapon regardless if the banner ends?
I feel so bad, full pitti and I got both Bina and Ineffa. Like cmon....any of those weapons worked for me
The only team I can think of is using aino and jahoda for the moon effect and try an f2p electrocharge team... Maybe something like aino jahoda ororon fischl? I have no idea how jahoda works but I stole Jeans artifacts and gave her a fav bow. Shes c6, how do I play this team? Rotations etc? Also, how good is her healing? Is she pairable with furina?
If anyone has better team recommendations Im all ears. I own every 4 star except ifa and heres a screenshot showing all my 5 stars: [https://imgur.com/a/c8h82xm](https://imgur.com/a/c8h82xm)
The rubber duck can be done with regular Electro-Charged, focus on the small ducks to clear the big duck shield and stuns it. For the Wild Hunt enemies try to focus and burst one down to clear their double health bar, if you leave them to heal up to max health (even reduced) it is basically wasted time.
If so, what set should Diona use? Just good ol' Instructor, or something like Deepwood (while Lauma uses 2pc2pc EM)?
Diona c6 needs ER for burst to make that c6 relevant, and HP to improve heal or shield
so Instructor is a rather weak choice(probably works out with a sac bow, fav bow means you need crit rate too), and burst circle is horrible for deepwood when you got aoe Lauma around you instead
\- The thing on the Alchemy bench where you sacrifice artifacts to roll new ones a.k.a Strongbox then no.
\- The Typewriter gadget in the inventory that take the Bottle currency then yes you can craft those.
Otherwise farming the artifact domain and they also seems to roll on Abyss artifacts boxes are the only way to get them.
[My characters](https://imgur.com/a/iNB25hT)
But yeah if you count also other Nod-Krai 5\* then Lauma + Columbina + Dendro/Hydro/Electro flex is strong too, just treat Columbina as budget Nefer.
"Raiden is not a strong DPS" (the main damage dealer)
"Raiden's DPS is lower than Varesa's" (math of one character's damage per second)
"Flins teams and Nefer teams have similar DPS, but Nefer is more of a hypercarry" (comparing overall team damage, especially when discussing teams where there is a reaction driver rather than one main damage dealer).

Current builds if that matters:
- Neuvillette 4-pc Marechaussee HP%/HP%/CRIT DMG, R1 Sac Jade
- Furina 4-pc Golden Troupe HP%/HP%/CRIT rate, R5 Pipe
- Kazuha 4-pc VV EM/EM/EM, R1 Xiphos
- Durin 4-pc CWoF ATK%/Pyro DMG/CRIT rate. R1 Moonweaver
on Flins team, youd put Ineffa on Aubade, she does more damage than Columbina
Bina ends up on SMS more cause of the ER 2p, cause she as solo hydro needs a lot of ER to burst, and makes it harder to enable Aubade.
and you need to replace Sucrose to put SMS on someone else cause her burst doesnt last long enough
note, Jahoda isnt actually an alternative, you want one teammate that is not a NK character
you use Sucrose for the EM buff, might as well keep the usual VV set anyway, or you just use 2p 2p EM if you couldnt get close to 1k EM normally
Also generally speaking it isn't like you can just magically have artifacts with perfect crit rolls, so in some cases people will be low on CR just because they haven't farmed enough for better stats.
Also, a 1:2 ratio of CR to CD is optimal (barring overcapping of course) for average damage in general, meaning that if you have 100 CR and less than 200 CD, then trading some CR rolls for CD rolls would improve your average damage.
now see how much crit rate you could actually get while aiming for that
for every actual dps,
goal is always "As much as you can get" of everything, not just 100% crit rate
you want multiple stats
only some characters with weapons and/or passives or artifact sets that actually affect crit rate, do you try aiming close to 100% total
No point in reaching 100% Crit Rate if you only have 80% Crit Dmg.
Also, Columbina has a Crit Rate self-buff.
Let's say I have a character with 70 crit rate and 200 crit damage who does 100 damage by default. That means, seven times out of ten they'll do 300 damage. *On average* across 100 hits, that means they'll do 240 damage per hit.
If I improve that character's crit rate to 100, realistically I will have to lower their crit damage to something like 130, because getting lots of crit rate is *hard* and requires me to sacrifice elsewhere. Therefore 10 times out of 10 they will do 230 damage, so their average damage is 230.
For some people, the consistency is worth it. But what's important is usually what gives you the biggest average damage over time, and a balanced crit ratio is easier to achieve than going heavy into one.
For example Natlan's DPS set:
>After the equipping character consumes 1 Nightsoul point while on the field, CRIT Rate increases by 40% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every second.
Any Natlan DPS character is basically in Nighsoul mode all the time, so they gain +40% crit rate for free. If you check the stats page when you're not in Nightsoul mode, you won't see that +40% in effect.
So nowadays it's relatively easy to overcap on Crit Rate because of all these "hidden" condition-based modifiers that you have to calculate yourself. Annoying but it is what it is. By overcapping I mean going over 100%, it doesn't do anything and you may be sacrificing other stats like Crit Damage if you don't take those bonus Crit Rate values in your calculation.
Having lauma, ineffa, and columbina is already soooo good, and supports like them are much more valuable as you can make many teams with them. Like imo, what you have is better than flins and nefer! So don't worry, it was a good choice!
if that "ram booster" nonsense is active, disable it and restart the phone > try again.
the chipset of the phone isn't special / rare or anything, genshin should work perfectly fine.
If you have any crapware installed like antivirus / security / cleaners / boosters, un-install them and restart the phone. those apps do not help.
Pyro Traveler stygian onslaught, first video for me is an overload team with Fischl Ororon and Chev
several patches ago with Fearless Papilla in SO
have both Bina and ineffa C0 with thier weapons
should I try to get C1 Ineffa or saving in order to get extra C or weapon for Flins whenever his next rerun?
https://i.postimg.cc/WpKGgtzv/Sburro.jpg
The rest of the characters are C0
Out of these, what is the best team for lunar charge shills for someone who doesn’t have Ineffa or Flins but has Columbina?
I was thinking Bina, Aino, Fischl and Varesa?
and use Neuvillette Columbina electro that could be Ororon or Yae, and Jahoda if you have her
id consider team with him as best i guess?
but Columbina Yae Jahoda and Ororon specifically for shill
or Columbina Aino Ifa if you have one and Ororon?
then whats the problem? use Nefer Columbina Lauma but add in Kuki last
hold back on dendro a bit when you need some lunar charge shill
if you can handle the other side with other stuff
besides that
you only need ascended gleam specifically for the wild hunt enemies. well also the artifact sets but whatever (and Columbina circle shrinks)
if needed you can use Neuvillette Yae Columbina without Aino
and lunar charge clouds
not quite sure how much you actually need
you dont need lunar charge for the duck. you need it for the small ducks. destroying those takes out quite a lot of big duck HP and stuns it
until small ducks appear, you can bash it with Nefer
i really wouldnt change sets at all unless you want Kuki to be a permanent addition to that team
put Kuki on favonius and really make it a habit to try triggering favonius and swap to Columbina every time
When talking about artifact main stats, seeing x/x/x means sands/goblet/circlet
ARE what youd call main affixes
but Columbina as solo hydro needs quite a lot of ER, which is the reason SMS is gonna be used more than the new set. if you cant get enough, you simply have to go for ER sands
goal is ER to burst and 35k hp to max passive (IF you can manage that, go for the new set if you want). and whatever crit you can manage while doing those
I have a C0 Ayato and C0 Keqing for dps
For hydro/electro supports I've got C0 Columbina, C2 Furina, C6 Fischl, C6 Kuki, C6 Xingqiu, C5 Barbara, C1 Aino, C1 Ororon and C0 Dahlia
General Suports I've got C0 Kazuha, C1 Xilonen, C1 Jean, C3 Sucrose and C0 Jahoda, at least those are the ones I don't think would end up working.
I'm also trying to get Ineffa, but my chances aren't looking good.
I hadn't pulled for any Nod Krai character before this.
Ascendent Gleam enhanced abilities enable extra damage against the Wild Hunt's second healthbar.

it's a bit like the element resonances, and it's shown when you select team members.
So if anyone has any tips, or video resources especially regarding elemental reactions etc pls help me out.
the elemental reactions are a whole thing, nothing you can grasp in just a few days.. anemo alone....
These r my characters do I go for Columbina or ineffa am close to pity and if none fit my characters should I get one for like future teams and investment

My Team is Yelan, Durin, Venti and Barbra.
I would like to still use Yelan, Durin and Venti.
I’m having trouble beating characters with shields that need lunar reactions. I can do it but it takes a while. Like Moonchild’s Treasures is taking me longer to grind than I would like.
Any suggestions on who to go for, either this wish line up or the next?
Any of the onfield chars (Flins, Nefer, Zibai) would require you to like/learn their gameplay, Lauma is actually not that great in term of lunar damage output since her strength is in her buff and that requires Nefer or Bina to actually utilize as lunar damage.
Is Columbina good to get (as a unit)? I want to get Ineffa since I like units that are "drop their turret and go" but I expect Columbina to be super strong (haven't checked her kit). I think I can get both of them but I also wanna get Varka in the future (Not sure when he's out) mainly for his character
Only 5 star Nod Krai character I have is Flins (I assume Columbina meshes with him)
So far, I’ve gotten **Diluc**, **Sucrose**, and **Kirara** for free. I’m currently saving all my Primogems for **Neuvillette’s banner** and holding myself back from pulling on **Ineffa’s banner** because of the uncertainty around the 50/50 system.
Since I started playing, I’ve been consuming a lot of Genshin content, and most of my indecision comes from trying to plan long-term. For example, I know I can get Xingqiu later from the Paimon’s Bargains shop (around March or June), and I already got Xiangling from the Spiral Abyss. Even though I’m aware that some of these characters perform better with constellations, someone mentioned to me that early on it can be better to “build vertically,” meaning expanding your character roster instead of focusing on duplicates.
At the same time, I’m hesitant to spend resources on characters that might not be necessary for the teams I plan to build, especially since I’m F2P and early-game resources are very limited.
**Lan Yan** was initially the character I was most interested in choosing, mainly because of her shield and Elemental Mastery. In my mind, she could potentially replace Kirara (who currently provides my shield) and even Sucrose, especially when thinking ahead to a future Neuvillette team. However, now that Sucrose seems to be much more valued and “hyped” in the meta, I’m not sure if Lan Yan would actually be a good replacement or if that wouldn’t be the best path to take.
**Yaoyao** was the character I was least interested in at first, since I already use Kirara and Barbara in my current Diluc team. Still, I’ve recently started reconsidering her, which is why I decided to ask for advice
For my other team, until I get better characters, it would be Jean as dps, Fischl, Kaeya, and Lynette :/
Would this be at least enough for end game? I have no idea about the game's meta besides "Neuvillette + Ineffa = Good team"
Also what does "Core" mean..?
So, "like" / "want" really is more important. Saving a good amount of wishes would be the meta way to go, to get characters that are in the meta then.
You can't brick an account now, or waste mats. Only wishes.
core now means 2 character that are now needed as supports / enabling and, well.. damage
I have all the Geo 4* and Zhongli. For Hydro, I have everyone except Neuvi, Ayato and Childe.
You can also try Kachina - Scroll set doesn't boost Lunar-Reaction, it will still boost Furina and the Bin hydro damage, and of course Navia's Geo damage. Downside is you're relying on PAMber Columbina, so you probably won't get that much Fanfare.
Just got Columbina and will be building her soon. But I don’t have any other Nod Krai characters to go with her.
I considering someone between Ineffa, Nefer or Flins.
Who would be a good fit in terms of good damage numbers, fairly easy to use and F2P friendly build options?
Edit: Thanks for the advice.
Meanwhile you have any suggestions on how to build her?
Prototype Amber and HP/HP/Crit in most cases, can swap to Sac Jade if you want more DPS and have it, or Fav Codex if you're really struggling with energy.
Ineffa is a sub dps and pairs well with Flins, just like Nefer and Lauma goes best together.
Thank you for your advice.
With Electro or Geo DPS, she's at least helping somewhat just by converting the reaction and being off-field DPS, but Dendro teams are pretty much only Nefer or Bina DPS, until they add some other Lunar Dendro unit that might use Dew off-field. And without Lauma quills, Bina's off-field Dendro damage is pretty weak.
what i recommend you do is have the interactive map open on a separate screen / device, activate compass, then cross check the locations between the interactive map and your in-game map. if you've done all the world quests then all the areas with oculi should be accessible to you already.
Neuvillette/Ineffa team. Who should be the other teammate, Furina/Xianyun (or Kazuha here) or Columbina/Sucrose?
Really early to ask this, but in a Navia team, is Columbina/Zibai an upgrade to the Furina/Xilonen (and Kokomi for the heal) combo?
Are there any comfortable team for Durin? Got lucky with him, but don't really like playing with Mona. Right now, my Durin is in a (Durin, Furina, Mona, Xilonen) team. No Albedo/Venti for Durin Hexen buff.
I'd like to actually DO stuff.
Otherwise, how are you configuring smooth motion + unlocker? to get smooth motion with a 280hz display, you'd want to unlock to 140 fps then activate smooth motion from there.
I don't have any outstanding quests in Nod-Krai left to do.
i assume that firstly, dispose all of gladiator and wanderer unless it has nice elemental dmg bonus goblet and nice substats? then for support artifacts, weigh if the mainstat and substats match the character? ER for support artifacts and looking for those typical crit and the stat they scale off of? the rest of the decision making im not sure... thanks in advance!
But for obsidian set, I'd want Crit Damage, EM, Crit Rate, and HP/ATK depending on who I'm building. Mualani would want all C. Rate, C. Damage, EM and HP. So the artifact should have at least 3 good substats.
>do you level artifacts to lv 20 just to see where rng takes you or just scrap when 2 of the substats match?
For an old set, if the rolls don't go to 2 of the desired stats, trashed. If it's a new set though, I'd take it to 20 and equip it first.
and then you just level it up to 16 to see if it matched, thanks for this!
With just Bina+Ineffa, any Anemo, Hydro or Electro DPS works, Pyro, Geo or Dendro CAN work but it depends, and Cryo probably won't work very well.

Edit: Added refinements
I'm not sure about the difference between Fischl and Raiden. If I had to guess I would say it's really close. With the hexerei buff with Durin and Fischl, I would say that team would do more damage than Raiden. But, if you haven't finished building Fischl, a better built Raiden would probably be more.
Somene else might be able to give you a more concrete answer though
So as long as your Ineffa and Columbina all have good crit, the other two characters' stat won't affect too much.
The damage of lunar-charged reaction will count everyone's stats and it will contribute a smaller part of the whole team damage.
In two-team content, my teams are: Citlali C1R1 / Xilonen C2 / Bennett C6 / Mavuika C6R1, and Baizhu C0 / Furina C6R1 / Columbina C6R1 (This used to be Mona C4) / Raiden C2R1.
Mavuika and Raiden serve as my onfield hypercarries in these teams, and I've been reliably 36-starring abyss for a couple years now. For three-team content compositions are more flexible and my third carry is often Tighnari C0, but that's not really cutting it anymore and I would like some feedback on my current options:
Neuvillette is on the horizon and I could probably get him to C1 or maybe even C2 if I'm extremely lucky, but that leaves an obvious hole in my roster; I don't have another Nod Krai unit to activate Columbina's Ascendant Gleam effects in her constellations. He'd be extremely strong paired with Furina in just about any team, but I'd be leaving a lot of potential locked away in Columbina's kit unless I just throw a C0 Aino in there.
Ineffa is currently running and would solve the Ascendant Gleam problem in my Columbina teams, but she's not really an onfield unit and this would still leave my DPS kind of limp in three-team content.
Should I just pray for Nefer or Flins reruns soon, or get ready to dump all my wishes into Zibai? These feel like my only options that fulfill both of my requirements (Hypercarry, Ascendant Gleam buff)
My call would be wait for Nefer + Lauma, get C2R1 Nefer + Lauma. Run Furina Xilonen Raiden Sara, and put Iansan in Mavuika team. If you're unwilling to wait, C1 Zibai would be good as well, but it's weaker than Nefer with worse vertical investment option.
^(And yes, I skiped the info because I was malding for columbina flowers and the tips menu is too laggy on my phone)
Obviously lunar damage break it faster.
