It's a shame there isn't an in-universe calendar in game.

The amount of "wait 2 days" "wait until tomorrow" "wait until 8AM" in quests and waiting for day/night while fishing would be so funny if tracked properly. I probably spent years of in-game time for each region.

Was thinking the same recently, would've been nice to have a calendar or a notepad even so you can track everything in-game. Like those long hidden day-gated quests without using external sites or notes. Make the notepad your actual adventurer's log.

I don't mean quests that require real life day reset. I mean quests that makes you bring up the menu and turn the in-game time forward. Like if you wait 2 days in-game it would still be Today in real life but it's 2 Days Later in-game. I think recording the passage of in-game time would be funny.

would make in-game strange, since there is no seasonal weather variations, nor real time progression for things (like age or stuff)

Bethesda games don't have any of those either, and they have a calendar.

I think the closest you get is the in universe events like lantern rite.

And the summer vacation.

Those imply a passage of time.

Maybe they do the whole region in those 2 days. They can get to inazuma from nod Krai in minutes
