Is the game dying?

What's good fellas. I've always been a big fan/supporter of the game, but had to take a 4 month break to focus on studies.

One big concern I always had. Is the game dying? (Yet?).

Can anyone get me up to speed with meta or other changes in trends?

Game is dying since 2021 bro, we have so many Genshin killers now so we can't survive for "long"

Ya everyone quit Genshin Impact.

We all moved on to a new game called Song of the Welkin Moon.

For every post asking if the game is dying, the game dies

GI is the biggest Hoyo title by far and a brand for merch in itself on top of that. Sure there is a lot of complaing that the game isnt what it use to be with powercreep/shillling and whatnot but its not goin anywhere anytime in forseeable future.

The game is doing fine. coop is alive and well.
Meta is Nod-Krai five stars. If you don't have them it's more difficult to kill the new enemies. It actually matters unlike the Fontaine energy thingys.

I just explore and have fun.

I see, thank you

Definitely not dying but if you took a 4 month break I don't think there is a lot of meta changes you need to catch up on except maybe Columbina and I guess the new reaction Lunar-crystalized

Go away.

SituationHopeful2026-01-16 11:56

but why asking that question ? is there something making you feel the game is dying or something ?

It’s just an occurrence that when games die in terms of player count or revenue, it oftentimes influences the direction and style of the game.

It’s sad or disappointing to see that sometimes but of course its subjective

Does it matter as long as they are releasing content? As long as you have fun it shouldnt matter how many players are still playing since its mainly a single player game.

True
