Skirk vs mavuika?

kinda hesitant about diving into the lunar meta, mainly because im a returning player (no nod krai chars). im planning to save for a strong dps like skirk or mavuika, who would be the best choice? Which of the two will last longer, and does more damage in their bis teams? Kinda scared that the current roster will be powercrept in 7.x, but if so will these two still be viable?

I use Skirk to brute force my way through the Lunar mechanics. Mavuika also can but you need other Natlan characters while Skirk gets a boost from any cryo/hydro char. If you have Furina, Skirk is a no brainer. For BiS, Skirk is a monster. I still have yet to get Escoffier and still I'm annihilating domains and challenges.

Both are strong rn but mavuika is definitely the stronger of the two. As for powercreep, I wouldn't worry too much, mavuika is still the the strongest dps in terms of raw numbers (lunar teams do the same ammount of dmg but are harder to mess up)

Mavuika is less restrictive. Citlali is recommended. Skirk lowkey wants escoffier and also wants freeze. Noone can stop you if you wanna run melt skirk tho.

Meta is changing rapidly
As long as you have a new team assembled they might overthrough old teams
Mavuika and skirk are strong but you need all the other teammates for them to actually be strong
Given that some supports just got re runs (iansan/xilonen for mavuika) that mean the chance to assemble skirk team will be easier (skirk escoffier and 2 hydro supports)

But if you want an advice maybe you can consider current lunar meta and try to assemble them

Imo. I have both mavuika and skirk and their teams ( no sig tho just f2p weapons ) although mavuika is considered better for me almost every stygian skirk has worked way more better and easier than Mavuika. In terms of brute forcing content i think skirk is one of the best characters in the game. She herself has always clutched out one boss in stygian and has made my life so much easier. If you are going for the whole team skirk is better for sure. It's just my opinion tho it might be different for others. ( It definitely is )

Have both and I feel the same honestly. My Mavuika has been basically relegated to being an off-field Pyro bot.

Skirk just carried and bruteforced through basically everything, but worth mentioning that I do have Escoffier (and no Citlali). I also like visuals/gameplay of Skirk more (I just hate the damn bike man) but I know a lot of people will disagree on the latter part.

Problem with Skirk is that you basically have one team and you need to have Icecoffee.

Skirk needs Escoffier to be good, otherwise she is not that impressive honestly. Mavuika has more utility and can work in more teams. Columbina + Zibai is also a powerful duo, if you also want some Lunar-centric power.

none if you don't already have it.
the gotcha game will ALWAYS power creep. always get newer character over old ones. i have both the skirk and mavuika teams (at C2R1, average about 10 gold per team), and they have already been power crept by 6.x character.
