Missable Achievement?

When exploring Piramida, I deliberately avoided starting the quest “Wind-Stirred Ripples.” However, while I was in Piramida, I was forced into step 4 of the quest, which locked me out of step 1, where I could have obtained the achievement “The Thin Black Line.”

Does anyone know of another way to obtain this achievement, or am I completely locked out? I really hate how it’s possible to unintentionally skip parts of world quests like this.

Up until now there has never been an achievement that could be missed.

I doubt that they suddenly started adding such achievements

I doubt that as well. The issue is that you were able to obtain it by completing step 1 of that quest. There is probably another way to get the achievement, but it hasn’t been discovered yet. For example, the wiki currently only states that it can be obtained through the quest.

During the nod-krai archon quest(the first set I believe), if you complete the quest without doing the optional objectives, you will miss an hidden achievement.

Which achievement would that be?

Sorry, I was referring to >![any discount for encounters in a strange land?](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Any_Discounts_for_Encounters_in_a_Strange_Land%3F)!< but I was wrong indeed. I assumed talking to >!dori!< was optional objective.

I just checked and i have the achievement, but havent started the world quest yet. Not sure what i did to get it.

Great, that means the achievement is not bound to the world quest at all. As far as I know, you need to “Purify the flowing surges of Abyssal power.” If it’s possible to do that without meeting the two NPCs from the quest, then that’s great!

i skipped that part and started the quest in piramida too but i have the achievement so it's not missable.

after watching a playthrough, i think you get it the first time you defeat one of those enemies that have the "abyssal corrosion" bar on top.

i'll try it on my alt in a bit (device is still charging). iirc there's one on wing of keres (the little island on the far left of the pillar).

Yeah, I did one of the Overflowing Abyssal Power chests, and that gave me the achievement. I think the quest The Moonlit Watcher may give that achievement too (I may try that with my brother's account).
