I feel like if that ends up being implemented, it takes away from the "difficulty" aspect of the abyss. With players already complaining about there not being enough hard endgame content until stygian came, making abyss easier like this would only add to the complains. Although i have also sometimes felt this, especially during the last abyss( god it was so bad having to beat all 41 enemies in 12-1 without proper crowd control ), it ended up being so much more satisfying when i actually ended up beating it.

No one’s forcing someone to restart only that side. They can restart the whole damn floor every time they mess up if they want.
